Comment: Who are they to tell the former President to pipe down. Ted Kennedy should be so lucky that other Democrats didn't ask for his resignation of his "incident". I believe that President Clinton like so many others are totally disgusted with your publication as well as the other mass media outlets for all but shoving Obama down our throats... He has every right to get angry and let it be known. For those of us who don't have that voice, I say will continue to cancel our subscriptions to publications such as yours and boycott those television broadcasts which continue to show blatant bias against Senator Clinton. (Are you listening, NBC, MSNBC, CNN...Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, Tim Russett et al)?

Comment: C'mon, this is such a old news.

So Nwesweek, the platform for promoting Obama's candidacy, is running out negative stories about Clinton.

So Newsweek is trying to recycle the old news.

So what Bill try to attack Obama?

Doesn't Obama's wife also try to attack Clintons?

Newsweek has lost alot of my trust since this primary season started because it certainly has its own agenda concerning this democratic primary.

I have followed the news very closely noticing mainstream media has gone out of their way to praise Obama highly but putting Clintons in the most negative angle.

No wonder Obama has become a phenomenon. With a 24/7 mainstream media on your side, how cannot be the case?

We get it. You arent ALLOWED to critque Obama . Clinton isnt ALLOWED to campaign for his wife. He isnt allowed to challenge Obamas record. He isnt ALLOWED to speak to the media. He isnt ALLOWED to voice his concerns.

Obama is ALLOWED to LUMP CLINTON in with RICHARD NIXON and go onto say that a REPUBLICANS and Ronald Reagan had the best ideas of the last 15 years. NEVER MIND THE OBVIOUS INSULT to the 42nd president.

Comment: I was a Democrat when younger, and then became an Independent in 1992 (I voted for Perot). However, after the buffoonery and fascist attach on personal liberties by W and his cronies, I vowed I would NEVER again vote for a Republican.

After much thought, I have decided to support Barack Obama for President. I read his book Audacity of Hope, agreed with him that the "new majority" is more concerned about becoming the "United States of America" instead of the disastrous "Red State/Blue State" dichotomy. I believe that the great majority of Americans want to be inspired to think and do beyond their own self-interest for the greater good. They are collectively ashamed that New Orleans still looks as it does; they are fed up with that the rest of the major countries in the world take better care of the health of their citizens than the U.S. They hunger for a President to inspire us and lead a united nationwide effort to wean ourselves off foreign oil, just as John Kennedy challenged us to go to the moon within a decade.

They are also sick and tired of the oligarchies that seek to control this country for 20 years: Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton.

I know understand what it is about the Clintons that Republicans hate so much; it's all about power; it's all about power in their hands.

Shame on Bill Clinton; he should act like a former President. You can see his "thirst" for power boil over in the attempt to slay the insurgent Obama; how dare he challenge the Clinton's power!!! Make no mistake about it; Bill is running for a third term.

Hillary seeks to be the first woman president; and admirable calling; a potential inspiration to the women and girls of this country, my 10-year-old daughter included. Yet, what has she done? She is basically saying "If you try to challenge me I will send my husband after you to BEAT YOU UP!!!" Great. The first woman president needs her HUBBY to fight her fights for her. Nice example.

The Republicans shouldn't have a snowball's chance in hell this November; no consensus candidate; the rank and file in complete disarray; no central figure behind which to rally. Then some of my moronic Democrats want to give them Hillary Clinton to run against. Great. Unite the Republican Party for them. Four or eight years of rancor, no health insurance for even more Americans, the world gets warmer, and we are further enslaved by foreign oil.

However, worst of all, I will have left my 15-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter with a world and country worse off than the country and world my parents left to me. Nice job, us "children of the sixties."

Here's the deal. I am so against oligarchies, and I am so disappointed and disgusted by the power hungry Clintons, that if "they" (noticed I said they) are the nominees of the Democratic Party I will not vote for them.

I will either (i) stay home; or (ii) vote for John McCain (if he is the Republican nominee) in protest.

    Suck on that one, Bubba.

    1. Whether you like Bush or not, the fact remains that he appointed more minorities to high positions in his cabinet than any other president. This INCLUDES Bill Clinton, who by the way, did not have anyone who is black in any high ranking position in his cabinet. This is especially befuddling considering that Bill Clinton is looked upon by the African community as the "Black" president. How insulting was this statement!!! What exactly did Bill Clinton do for the "black" community?

    2. For all the mess that this "war" has caused this country, it is unfortunate, for all those who have lost their lives while fighting over in Iraq and Afganistan. As far as what it will take to "fix" it, well, It will require some great deal of time. But the fact remains that during the Clinton adminstration, Osama bin laden was available for the taking. As it has been reported in the news, Saudia Arabia was looking for some country to take him. He was offered to the U.S. and Clinton, the "wise" and trusted President, said no. So, his "no" allowed Osama the opportunity to do what he did on 9-11. Again, the wonderful president Clinton, because he loves us so, had the chance to change things for the better but refused. And then we felt the "pain" of his error!

    3. Let's us stroll down memory lane and revisit the Monica Lewinsky debacle, shall we. How many women had to come forward to finally nail this "PIMP" to the wall and have him admit to his indiscrections. And even then, for this loser to insult the american public like he did and try to weasle his way out of this by telling us what the meaning of "is" is. Which of course brings into the picture, the wonderful Hillary "Rodem" Clinton. Notice how conveniently she dropped the "Rodem" out of her name? Funny how that works! But getting back to the comment, here comes Hillary and starts waving the "it's the right wing conspiracy" flag. She claims that the "republicans are out to destroy my husband!" But what happened when all the allegations were proven to be true? Did we get an apology from the Her or anyone from the left, not a chance!

As I said before, I am a registered Independent. I am tired of seeing the nonsense that is being dished out from both the democrats and republicans. Both parties are losing the focus of what's important for this country--that is, the fate of the american people! I just want someone who will make significant changes in washington that will yield the best results for the american public. As one who belongs to middle income america, I have a vested interest in how this election season will pan out. We desparately need help! But I have to say that, Hillary Clinton is not the answer.

Comment: AMERICA, WAKE UP!!!! Do you really think that Hillary Clinton is the right person to be our next president? Just look at what is happening in the primaries. Look at what she is trying to do to her fellow Democratic candidate. She and her low life husband are trying to use the race card in order to bring Obama down. Then Hillary, in the recent debate, insulted Obama with the "slum landlord" comment. Only to have a picture surface of her and Bill surrounding the socalled "slum landlord" himself. What trash these two are. These two will go to whatever ends necessary inorder to achieve there goal. Even if it means going against their own party. Look at how many of their own party are coming forward and telling Bill to "pipe it down!" The attacks on Obama are getting vicious. And again, this is within their own party! Why is it that so many people are afraid of these two? Consider the damage these two have done so far--then think of how much more damage these two can inflict if the worst senario comes true. What happened to the "Right Wing" conspiracy that she freely spewed to the american public when the allegations about her husband's infidelities were brought forth. Only for these allegations to be proven to be TRUE!!! Conspiracy my foot! The lies and smearing that these two are engaged in is nothing short of criminal! This would be a tragedy beyond repair in all respects. DO NOT ELECT HILLARY!!!!

Comment: Hillary Clinton is a fraud. She has no interest in anyone but herself. How convienent were those fake tears just when she thought her hopes of winning the primaries were in question. All it took was for her to lose Iowa, and the tears started to fall. What's worse were the idiots who fell for this farce! Now she is throwing in the race card in order to discredit Obama. America, wake up and smell the stench that are the Clintons!!!

  • Posted By: delakile @ 01/26/2008 3:19:06 AM

Comment: The Clintons are a joke! I dare anyone to tell the world what has Hillary done for this country, let alone the state of NEW YORK! She claims to have this great experience on how to run the country. From where? Are we to be fooled into thinking that she has this experience just because she is Bill Clinton's wife? Please, it is so disgusting how these two lowlifes are fooling the american public. At least half of america is on to her already. She is a disaster for this nation. WAKE UP AMERICA!!! before it's too late.

Comment: I'm admiring Bill Clinton more now ,becose he is just helping his wife, even when she is doing a great job by herself, but if he is being the way he is that's because of the media, they been focusing in OSAMA, I mean, obama all the time.Every time I turn the tv. on to see the news, all I see, most of the time is people talking about this OSAMA, OASMA well, I mean obama, so that's good knowing he is behinde his wife, since the media won't. I would do the same thing ,for that I respect him more ,is sad that peopel can look at it the other way , GOOD JOB BILL!!!! HILLARY CLINTON 2008!!!!

Comment: I always liked Bill Clinton, even just few months ago I was admiring his still powerful presence in American politics. But to me he had lost a lot of respect for his recent behaviors and criticism towards Obama. By doing so he lost a fan (me) and I think others will think the same. And since he is making me upset I started to question his legacy, what did he do during the Rwanda Genocide? Where was he when the radical Islam was increasing? His relationship to Monica? No doubt that he did good things but if you dig deep you will find a lot of stinks too. It is a surprise that I am trashing Bill, but I guess that???s what is expected when some one lost respect for a charismatic president.

Comment: I think Greg Craig makes an excellent point. If Hillary's campaign cannot keep President Clinton in check, why should anyone believe he will not be working around the law limiting a president to two terms. I am an educated woman in her 40's, and I am appalled at the direction of the Clinton campaign. I am eager for change and the current message from Hillary doesn't assure me we share the same views - one I thought for certain we would.

Comment: I have always liked both Clintons, but I am disgusted with the way Bill Clinton has behaved. I won't forget as some have suggested. While my first choice for the Democratic nominee is no longer in the race, I had leaned toward Hillary. But I am liking Obama more and more, and the hatchet job Bill has given him only makes me want to support him more...

I disagree with the article that Bill Clinton is the titular head of the Democratic party. Jimmy Carter is, and he is a true gentleman.

That reporter Clinton went off on should not have let him get away with it. I would have ripped him a new one had he talked to me like that.

Comment: Comment: I have never cared for Hillary Clinton. She is obviously inauthenic and phony. On the other hand, I have always been a fan of Bill Clinton, mostly because of his IQ, and until now, I thought he might be an asset to his wife if she happened to end up in the White House. I am, and have always been, a Democrat and a staunch Obama supporter. I hope with all my heart that he will win the Democratic nomination for President, but if it so happens that the nominee is Hillary, you can count me out of the party unity thing at election time. I would never vote for Hillary Clinton, and like Ruthles, I will write in Barack Obama's name or stay at home. After the way they have behaved in this campaign, I dislike Hillary even more, and I can no longer stand her husband. Their politics is lowdown and dirty, and they insult the intelligence of the voters. I now believe that all the negative things that have been said about them over the years are absolutely true. They do not deserve to be in the White House again, and the country has had more than enough of their politics of personal destruction. We need a President we can trust to honestly lead, inspire and help bring about change. The Clinton's are not capable of anything but lowdown, dirty, ego-serving politics. It's time for them to go!!

Therefore it seems reasonable that none of you will elect the president since each one of you will be cancelled by the oposition. I believe that our founding fathers were extremely smart in setting up this REPUBLIC. The silent majority really do have the power

Comment: Bill Clinton IS dismantling Hillary's chances for the White House! The Clinton Campaign seems completely oblivious to the deep damage already inflicted. This portrays Hillary as Bill's #2, which again raises the issue of what real experience she had in the White House -- and why she and Bill are SO determined to NOT let YOU see her White House papers to judge her 'experience' for yourself. The dynasty must end now. Obama brings hope; Clintons bring despair and the politics of personal destruction! It will only get worse if THEY are elected. Whatever you do, don't let your son or daughter go to Washington to be an intern under their administration!

Comment: I believe that we will need an amendment to the Constitution if Hillary and Bill Clinton are the Democratic nominee(s) for our highest office because if Hillary is President, Bill will be, too. He is proving what we always knew: that he has no self control. He will not step out of the Oval Office and go about his business. He will "play President." He can't help himself. And, obviously, she has no control over him. Look at their very public marriage. She could not control him then and she, nor her advisors, nor the Democratic leadership, can control him now. No one will be able to control him then. He will move all that horrible eight years back into the White House with him!
I am 58 years old and have always been a "yellow dog Democrat," proud to claim Liberal when everybody else changed their label to Progressive, but I will not vote for Bill Clinton ever again! I will go to the other side...stay home...write in Barach's name...whatever. I don't care about the man's sex life. Or anyone's sex life or lack of it, but I know what the Greeks considered the worst sin of all: hubris, arrogance, the trap of your own ego. Enough already! We don't have royal families in this country. Bushies, Clintons: go home! Let's start over!

Comment: Hey eagleye, you are right, I register as a Republican and vote for Bush in 2000, (not 2004) but I have a more liberal view in life. Friend of mine called me a RINO and I am proud of that. I don???t blindly follow any political party, I vote for whom I believe that could take this country out of this mess. My first choice is Hillary and my second is Obama. Now let be fair, when Obama and Edward gang up on Hillary, I did not see anyone complain about it? But when Bill Clinton questioned Obama???s experience and his vote in supporting Iraq war, everybody telling him to chill, why is that? You (eagleye) sound like a 'moran' conservative friend of mime. Like him, you have your head in the sand and hate Clinton with passion. I would waste my time with you because you are already shut down.

Then he lied right in the camera. Then he was impeached. Then the women, Whitewater ugh. And now I'm suppossed to jump up and down because he's baiting me? No, not that stupid. This is a chess game to him. I would vote for Obama. I would vote for Edwards. I would vote for McCain, but never a Clinton. Never again. Comment: How stupid is stupid! Hillary Clinton is not depending on her status as First Lady to support her claim for experience, although it would be 'stupid' to discredit the unique perspective she had to the presidency and workings of federal government. She demonstrated her individual political skill when she distinguished herself among Congressional colleagues and Democratic Party members as a newly-elected Senator. She has more pertinent educational and professional background than most presidential candidates. She is widely-respected in foreign nations, She is significantly more intelligent than the incumbent. I don't know if eagleye is himself a moron (who can't spell) or simply a sexist pig, although the two characteristics frequently go hand-in-hand. The only reason for Hillary Clinton 'not' to be the next president is that she'd be inheriting the mess left behind by the current Administration.

How about your statement with regard to Obama, I would like to quote a part of the statement "but if Oboma get nominated." You are in such a hurry to get your misinformation and lies out there for your fellow rats to chomp on, that you forget the basics in communication like punctuation, spelling, sentence structure. and not saying one thing and getting caught later on contradicting yourself. Comment: Poor poor eagleeye....listens to rush limbaugh so much that he is actually starting to sound like him. What I find so humorous is that republicans (taken right from the playbooks of limbaugh and hannity) essentialize the left. It is so easy to be a republican now because all you have to do is make a stand somewhere, anywhere, and deride anyone that doesn't believe like you do. It takes a thinking person to realize that there is more than two sides of an issue those two sides being black or white. Republicans/Conservatives always take one side or the other of an issue and refuse to accept the fact that one size does not fit all and they refuse to listen to anyone that may introduce nuances. If the attitude and behavior of republicans/conservatives weren't so completly disgusting and dangerous, it would be cute. Eagle eye, do yourself some good and stop parroting what the so called conservative pundits are telling you because they are don't have a clue what they are talking about and are only conducting a very low brow from of entertainment.

The medial is forcing Obama down our throats and having voted for him for the U.S. Senate, he's been a BIG disapointment in that role and was a lackluster Illinois Senator. What is he going to do wwhen Ahminajad (sp?), Chavez, Osama, and Putin's successor challenge him? What are we? Lemmings going over the cliff??? Go HIllary!

Comment: Bill is fine. Hillary is great. They are married. I love them both. She'll make a GREAT President!

Comment: Ummmm...Bill could probaly sit back and let Hillary do this on her own, but she is his wife and he has been President - interesting pioneer position. She's brilliant - and I think will win in spite of Bill (whom I really like also, he just needs to let her speak for herself). I don't think he will matter, one way or the other in the long run as to whether or not she wins the election. It would be great to see her as President and Osama as Vice President -- hope that's the Demo outcome!

Comment: Hillary should send Billy Boy off on an intern filled cruise ship for the remainder of the campaign. That should keep him quiet. That or it will keep the interns quiet since their mouths will be full.

Comment: You know I am so sick of hearing trash talk about the Clinton's. When I heard Hillary was running for president I was excited! But... I also liked Obama. That said after further research I found things I didn't like about Obama. Plus as some of the ealier blogs have stated he is a liar! That right if you do your research he has lied about so much and he isn't even in the White house yet. Not just about his religon but about his issues. Wake up America Hillary for President!!!! As far as Bill goes expose Obama like they did you!!! (Ha, Ha)

Comment: Enter Your CommentYep, you got that right if your a complete moran. Hillary can't find her legal files the courts requested from her law firm.. Poor ole Vince Foster didn't see it coming from the Clintons. Remember when Bill bombed the pill factory during his Monica scandal, and they found remenants of a blue dress in the exploded bomb. Hillary claimed later it was her that actually pushed the button to launch the missile. If your a lib, you probably are having a rough time figuring out what is truth and what is fiction, that is okay, take your time. Last thing to think about though, if Billary and Hillary the presidency, I wonder if they will hire a moving company to steal the rest of the items they missed the first time round.

Comment: I hope that Bill reads all of these comments posted by others who are offended or concerned that his tactics are killing his wife's chances. Hillary should have a chance to be heard without the stigma of Bill's influence!!!

Comment: Two of these candidates appear to have taken the "donkey" associated with their party to the highest level. It is bad for them and for the nation. Sooooooo, no vote for either, they act like 5th graders.

Comment: I sure hope none of this negative stuff from the media detours any voter from making the right choice, and we all know the best man for the job is a woman!!! GO HILLARY!!!!!!

Comment: waaaaaahooooooooo! also, we get bill back, which is huge! The economy sucks, thanks for nothing you republicans. Kiss your tax cut out your ass. Did the first one help us out? fraid not. Did the war boost our economy? fraid not. IS this tax rebate going to save us? fraid not. Bush and daddy Bush are going down in the history books as two of the worst presidents next to hoover. Will they care? No. They're little oil legacy they continue to build for themselves will speak volumes as to what they did and why. Cheney and all the rest of the B street gang will thrive. Nice job Republicans. Love your presidents the past 40 years.

Comment: The fact that Mr Obama has said he is not muslim should allay all these fears that he is muslim. These rantings from a section of the American public is rather unfortunate considering the fact that a large chunk of the world is muslim. We should show more tolerance as paranoia will make Islam more appealing. In the early first millenium the Romans persecuted the christians only to have emporer Constantine embrace christianity in the 4th centuary A.D. This was the crucial time which catapaulted the religion started by the humble carpenter Jesus Christ and St Peter into what it is today.

Comment: Bill was a good President and should try to remain in good standing with the American Public. Blacks saw him as a "Friend" to the oppressed. Does he now want to change that image, and make the Black American Public believe that he and Hillary share the same views on Blacks? Although Hillary has "buried the hatchet" by reconcilling with Sen. Obama and there is civility now, the public may now be thinking that Bill and his feelings on these issues may influence Hillary. Take a Back Seat Bill!!! Your term is over. Give Hillary a CHANCE!!!!

Comment: Jobs aren't in America because US labor is way to expensive. America must spend less to assure economical wellbeing.
Democratic Votes rather must not be influenced by racism or prejudice or internal affairs but rather only by candidates' US. International Affairs interests and judgements towards foreign politics. That is what is all about, right now. Clinton's era was international concerned and stabilize US economy in the 90's ,a lot about that.( I think) they could do good or better this second (or third) time around.

Comment: I have tremendous faith in this country, and it certainly has been tested over the past eight years The biggest problem facing this country, as I see it, is not that the Bush Administration is run by Republicans, but that it is run by a pack of liars... A pack of liars who are completely removed from and unapologetically unconcerned with what the people of this country actually want. Being the filthy untrustworthy swine that they are, they have shown over and over that they are willing do what ever it takes, including dividing the country to push their agenda.
The Clintons have already displayed a willingness to do whatever it takes to win the Whitehouse. Just as a rose by any other name will smell sweet, *** by any other name will smell rotten. Hillary certainly stinks of it; her campaign has effectively split the Democrat party, and would certainly divide the country if and when she won the presidency. That being said, there is no way Hillary Clinton will be getting my vote on Feb. 5th or on Nov. 4th.
George Bush is going to turn this country over to the next President in a disastrous state, with many open wounds and nasty sores. Wounds caused by two decades of partisan battling. The people of this country are going to have to unite, in order to sort out the last twenty years of battling; Hillary is not the person to do it, because her style of politics is one of division.
