It is disgustingly hypocritical for the media and the so-called christian coalition, who in the real sense of true christianity, are not practising the teachings of Christ, to always lament about life and person of Bill Clinton. Any one that loves the truth would know that Bill Clinton, inspite of his frailties, never lied about the affairs of state, which resulted in the death of thousands of citizens he swore to protect as the president. Yet, he was impeached by an over-zealous republican congress. President Bush, took us to war, lied about just everything concerning weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and as a consequence of his actions, more than 4000 of our citizens have perished. Add the more than 3000 that perished on 9/11/2001, and the katrina natural disaster, his presidency would without a doubt been very perilous for the country. The country enjoyed full employment, a balanced budget, a surplus, a favorable balance of trade, and wall street boomed eight years ago under the presidency of Bill Clinton. President Bush and his the republican congress have given us nothing but inflation, high unemployment, financial debacle, trillions of national debt , and human death and misery. I cannot imagine on what grounds any republican running for office will stand on to ask us to vote republican come this november. the republican party and the president have made us more vulnerable, less secure, weakened our economy, and made our country an object of hatred
by the world community. how much more damage are we willing to allow them to do, if we entrust our country to them again another four years Enough is enough. We should elect a democratic president, and a woman for that matter. Even the moslem country, pakistan, that clearly down trod upon their women have been able to elect a female prime minister, hindu india has too, israel, and no less great britain. yet, we claim to be the bastion of democracy, and cannot even bring ourselves to elect a woman president, because our prejudices are so deep that we are unable to overcome them. Men have ruled this country for more than 200 years. While Obama is a viable candidate, he is just another man, regardless of his skin color. The real change in this election is the election of a woman president.

Blaming George W. Bush for 9/11 is kookdom. The attackers on 9/11 killed people, not GWB. Now you're going to be like Hillary holding up a paper on the floor of the Senate and saying "Bush knew." Total demogogue. That's like blaming Bill Clinton for the Olympic Park bombing, it was the whacko that did it not a president.

Who really folows the teachings of Christ?
Watch the Obama video as he gives a speech on religion and politics. This speech was given before he decided to run for president. Who can bring the country together? Take a look.

"History will judge the impact on the Clinton legacy, not daily or weekly political reporters," says Matt McKenna, Bill Clinton's press secretary.

So "Bill Clinton Making More History" is more important than honesty and integrity in American politics? This is exactly what is driving our country to ruin! This is why we NEED Obama now!

If "Bush SR"'s unfinished business impacted his son's presidence, I shudder thinking how Bill's unfinished business will impact a 3rd Clinton term. I'd love to get the full background on all the thinking on this when this was put into the constitution. Are we going to allow them to circumvent it? (were there any pardons Bill did overlook? Ever wondered why so many people who actually WORKED with HRC are in Obama's camp. Vengeance is hers!

It's funny to see the "True Believer" democrats complain about machine politics beating ideology and positive campaigning after all the people the Clinton machine has crushed. Andrew Cuomo, Nita Lowey, Carl McCall, not to mention the travel office people and others they tarred and feathered when Bill was President. ("The nut" Monical Lewinsky or "The trailer park person" Paula Jones, anyone?) Now Obama is getting crushed for being in the way, and Democrats actually act shocked? Come on! As Pink Floyd said, welcome to machine, and it isn't like the Dems haven't seen this before nationally and in NY State.

    • Posted By: gabesmall @ 01/21/2008 1:33:52 PM

The "True Believer" Democrats aren't surprised--they're doing what they've always done: excusing the Clintons of any wrongdoing. The Clintons destroyed the Democratic Party. Obama has a chance to restore it. Go Obama!

I am a whit male republican from a very whit state who is supporting Barak Obama with my vote and monetarily. It may be a conundrum , but people in both parties are fed up with inaction on major issues and lies to the American people. One of the sspects of the terror argument that is seldom if ever stated is how much happened on Bill Clintons watch. He shakled the intelligence agencies and my sister could have been killed in the first World Trade center bombing , but for pure luck on our part. That happened under the Clinton administration. Most of the planning for 911 happened then too. The news does not want to talk about this fact. The 911 comission did. Barak can bring the country together. Barak is an honest man , family man , and a visionary. He may be young , but so was JFK. I am so happy to see some of the senators see what we are seeing how Bill Clinton is going to split the party. He is doing more for the Republicans than you can imagine. If Barak Obama is not the nominee I will be going to McCain or any toher candidate who has some morals.

I'm not the least bit surprised that Edwrads is angrily telling Bill Clinton to stop fighting for Hillary, the way he is; after all, she's winning.

Fight on Hillary! Fight on Bill!

If it is working and has worked they will keep doing it. Obama isn't the first Dem they've hammered. They don't try to defeat opponents politically but destroy them, and Democrats are no exception. Look at NY State. Sometims I wonder at how Chuck Schumer's career has been allowed to remain intact, so many other dems have been wrecled by the Clintons to solidify thier hold there.

If Bill was not a former President I don't think this would be a problem, and it's his record that Hillary is running off of as a team...otherwise explain your 35 years of service. " THE FUTURE IS OBAMA"

If Bill was not a former President Hillary wouldn't even be in the running right now...

She found her own voice, which wryly advised that a lady should be be seen, not heard while her husband dominants.

I would like American to remember that this his the same man when his back was on the wall when he was cheating with that young lady - look in the American people face and lie he now looking in the American face again and lie on Mr Obama!

Talk about ???free rides from the press.??? Instead of relentless double coverage how about a moratorium or equal coverage time for every last spin of the other candidates??? spouses.

    • Posted By: Carthage @ 01/21/2008 1:16:50 PM

The biggest free ride HRC is getting from the press is her vote for the war, "difficult but cast with conviction' as she states, but WITHOUT READING THE 94-page NIE, while knowing no one on her staff had the clearance to do so. And then parsing the statement, lying about it... Experience? yes, what we expereinced with Bill's "definitions", and what we expereiced with Bush, after looking in Putin's eyes, instead of reading the briefings. People who need secrecy and are surrounding themselves only with a tight circle of "trusted ones" (remember the travelgate facts and HRC's paranoia of any outsider, who are always out to get her? The secrecy of her health care panel puts Cheney's energy task force to shame!) are not suited to be leaders - we need people willing and able to listen to what they need to hear, not what they want to hear., Another common trait: unable to admit a mistake, and we see what type of leadership that got us. The HRC "experience" is the best predictor what kind of a leader she would be, and she should be judged on that record. (Any WH expereince that is based on records bill made unavailable to the public should be thrown out - where is the press, demanding access or telling them to stop invoking it. We do know that there were MONTHS these 2 where not even on speaking terms... Experience? Judgment? Electabilty???

"'This is excruciating,' says a member of the Clintons' circle, who asked for anonymity. 'But the stakes couldn't be higher. It's worth it to tarnish himself a bit now to win the presidency.'"

I'm so bloody sick of this scorched-earth brand of politician. The Clintons have had their day. It's time to usher in a new era. OBAMA FOR PREZ!

There is nothing new in this latest imbroglio caused by Bill Clinton's undignified rantings against Obama. Let's face it...this guy has for years been an embarrassment to the Democratic Party. We all know about the string of bimbo eruptions, but does anyone out there recall that the then president and leader of our Party turned on his own Democratic Congress and actually offered to personally campaign for Republican members of Congress who would vote for the Clinton-engineered NAFTA Agreement? Does anyone further recall that this same trade agreement destroyed hundreds of thousands of jobs in America's manufacturing industries...jobs once held by loyal Democrats, including tens of thousands of African-Americans.
Ps. Hillary, as First Lady, fully supported her husband's sell-out of those very men and women who put them in the White House. We shall not make the same mistake again.

Bill Clinton is the most prolific campaigner that I have ever seen and I can see no reason he should not help his wife become the first woman President of our country. As for all of the BS about Clinton being a liar, he has only been caught lying about his extra marital affaires which while not commendable is hardly unusual among men. Why is it that I never hear Newt referred to as a liar when he was banging his staff member while calling for Clinton???s impeachment for having sex with Monica?

Bill Clinton was our best President since JFK and is loved and respected throughout the world. He is actively working to improve the lives of people that are suffering in the third world countries. He has nothing to apologize for while campaigning here in Nevada. I live in Boulder City Nevada and all of his rallies are packed with the isles full of people standing to see and hear him.

Yeah, He sure cared about all those people in Rwanda didn't he? And people typically gawk at accident scenes as well. That miserable excuse for a man should never stop apologizing to the American people until his dying day for his general incompetence, gutlessness in dealing with terrorists and for making the American Presidency the laughing stock of the world

Interesting that Hillary is fond of claiming to have been a key player in the formulation of Clinton Foreign Policy: 9/11 was a direct result of the Clinton Administration???s feckless responses to the numerous Al-Qaida provocations and terrorist assaults against our national interests; as well as, Clinton???s inexplicable temerity in refusing to take Osama bin Laden into captivity when offered several times by the Sudanese. Clinton then exercised little more than his jawbone as bin Laden trained literally thousands of terrorists in his Afghan camps. All of which, convinced bin Laden that he could strike our homeland with relative impunity. The potential for success in bin Laden???s planned assault on our homeland was significantly enhanced by the infamous Gorelick memo which the Clinton Administration promulgated to prohibit any terrorist information exchange between our FBI and CIA intelligence operatives. However, history will record the most heinous assault on America's national security interests by a U.S. president as Clinton's transfer of our most advanced missile guidance technology to the CHICOM for a few campaign shekels. Does any rational person really want to return the Clinton cabal/scandals to the White House?

I agree with Nicholas Kristoff who was quoted previously here. I have been writing to editors trying to get some of them to question Hillary's claim of thirty five years of working for change. She was a high priced lawyer for the Rose Law Firm until 1993, charging hundreds of dollars per hour for her services, and overbilling hours at that . Since when is that working for change?

  • Posted By: Majorteddy @ 01/21/2008 12:44:43 PM

A reminder to some that Bill Clinton was not exactly cleared of all charges. The American Bar Association found that he indeed did commit perjury and stripped him of his right to practiced law, which he is still not permitted to do. They, however, did not strip him of his right to lie, which he is still doing.

Is there any estimate out there of the % of the Clinton years that was spent on Travelgate, Monica-gate, Whitewater, Foster-gate, pardons, PERJURY!!! (by the commander in chief!), missing billing records, pardons, Lincoln bedroom and desk stories, defining "is", "sex" etc etc etc.... "victim Bill" is at it again, claining a press-conspiracy this time. If HRC cannot stand on her won feet, she has no business running for president. Of course, A spouse can offer support, even advice (in private) but this is hurting the party, and really questionable: who will run another Clinton WH? Plus, why would we want to find out? No more drama - unite and support Obama!

So long as we never elect any more thieving fascist traitor murder pig democrats, our county will survive. VOTE FREEDOM FIRST. WALLETS SECOND.

  • Posted By: Carthage @ 01/21/2008 12:59:27 PM

It seems that for the remaining States' dem. voters "electability" is still a large argument that is used for HRC's support. It seems clear that their divisive politics are really damaging the party's unity, and are driving independents away is droves to McCain. We NEED a poll, before Super Tuesday, showing Sen. Clinton's ceiling within her won party (dropping every day Hillbill drag us down with false claims, racial divisions and "surrogate mistakes"), her total lack of cross-over support from the GOP and limited appeal to independents. Given these numbers, she SIMPLY CANNOT WIN! Where is the press, reporting this?! (Plus, even is she would be able to eke out a 50.1% vicotry, her name on the ballot will be "fatal" (Mccaskill) for the down- ticket (she can united, indeed, but only the GOP!) and the dem congress and senate will hurt. From day one, the opposition to her will be "fired up and ready to go" - divided we fall... Rove smiles!

I don't like what I'm seeing from the clinton's. It's wrong for them to both jump obama like that. Also, I think Hillary is not strong enough to run. She lets her emotions get in the way etc.

  • Posted By: renarobi @ 01/21/2008 12:46:12 PM

I truly feel that the clinton's are being fake! Notice how Hillary tries to make her voice sound southern tone in South Carolina etc. She needs to knock it off and be herself. 8 years of clinton's is enough and I feel we need a change. If she gets it, Bill will be running it anyway. NO Way!!!!
