Congrats for what???? She didn't win s***. Obama won more delegates and he's up in state delegates by two. Damn, we need to study mathematics more in this country. This is why China is taking us to task right now.

So, it is a fact that White Women have benefited the most from civil rights legislation and hold high ranking positions throughtout American society. Hillary Clinton represents a faction of the civil rights movement and Obama another. Hillary's faction has proven to be stronger. And ironically her faction is the one that benefited the most from civil rights. . Obama's x factor is not race but unity. What brings unity, economic success for the average JOE.

There is only one unifying issue in this country and that is the ECONOMY, mONEY, DOLLARS, and that is why women with children are coming out in record numbers to support Hillary. They believe that Hillary can directly address their soccer mom concerns, education, health care and the economy.
Obama can counter this by proposing sweeping middle class tax cuts. Hillary Clinton has not been specific on this issue. If the MIDDLE CLASS FEELS THAT OBAMA can actually imPlement a middle class revolution then race will no longer be a factor and Obama will be able to cross over and take a chunk of the white vote. THis revolution would include dealing with outsourcing, programs for the middle class that show them how to save, invest, plan and avioid debt. Thesel subjects are not taught in school. The middle class has been the victim of corporate indoctrination. Stay StuPid. They do not want you to double your money they want you to double their money. Every middle class family should be able to do compound interest problems in their heads. It can be learned in grade two. It is a very useful skill to have because it gives you a lightning fast benchmark to determine how good (or not so good) a potential investment is likely to be.
The rule says that to find the number of years required to double your money at a given interest rate, you just divide the interest rate into 72. For example, if you want to know how long it will take to double your money at eight percent interest, divide 8 into 72 and get 9 years. If the Middle Class can make better financial decisions it would have a profound affect on the economy.
The rule A stronger middle class will make the rich richer in the long run and helP uPlift the Poor.

    Your article missed one episode:
"A Hand the Clintons Aren't Showing" raises some of the questions about Bill Clinton.

It seems that President Clinton is also channeling Senator Joe McCarthy:

Former President Clinton on Monday complained about attacks from Sen. Barack Obama on Sen. Hillary Clinton "I've got before me a list of 80 attacks on Hillary that are quite personal by Sen. Obama and his campaign going back six months that I've had pulled," he said, speaking to CNN contributor Roland Martin on WVON-AM's "The Roland S. Martin Show" based in Chicago, Illinois.

    1950: McCarthy launches anti-red crusade

United States Senator Joe McCarthy has accused more than 200 staff in the State Department of being members of the Communist Party.

He made the startling allegation in a public speech in Wheeling, West Virginia, saying the State Department was infested with communists and brandished a sheet of paper which purportedly contained the traitors' names.

I agree with George Will's comment: "Speaking of the boomers' inexhaustible fascination with themselves, Bill Clinton has transformed his wife's campaign into his narcissism tour. As the New York Times dryly described a New Hampshire appearance the day after her Iowa rejection: "He talked about his administration, his foundation work and some about his wife.""

However, it talks only about tactical campaigning. There is something of more concern.

Running to redeem a father and now, a husband, is a story worth writing.
Much has been written about George W running to redeem his father's "failure" to "go to Bagdad".
Some has been written this time around about Senator Dodd running to redeem his father's failure-ethical lapses- and Governor Romney running to redeem his father's failure-his brainwashing comments.
The press has been nibbling around the edges of Hillary running to redeem Bill and herself. That story, however, is the most intriguing of the bunch.

In addition, an article written about all of these "redemption" runs would probably convince us that voters should never vote for a presidential candidate who is related to a president or presidential candidate. I think with just my information it is fair to say that redemption runs lead to poor judgment in the political decisions of a campaign and in presidential decisions, clouding both. An experienced political writer or writers would be able to fully research and present clearly the results of that research.

I think that Hillary Clinton would still be leading if Bill Clinton had been kept in the background. What I am seeing and what I believe the press is starting to report is that Hillary's race is all about Bill redeeming Bill and Bill's legacy and Hillary redeeming Bill, Bill's legacy, and Hillary's legacy. Obama and Edwards have been clearly stating for a long time that their presidential race is about America or about the middle class or about the other America, not about them. Hillary in NH is just starting to say that her race is not about her. But she just said that the race for her is very personal, suggesting policy but in reality much more telling.

don't use the analogy of George H. W. Bush not agressively attacking his son's opponent in 2000. For one thing, Bush jr. already had the best attack machine ever witnessed in a free election. And the second thing, Bush I already knew that Bush II was totally unqualified to serve as President.

He's been not just unsavory, but crazed. I was once a huge fan -- bought his $50 "My Life" the day it came out, read the 900 pages in 3 days. But his disgusting bull-dog behavior has caused me to 1) drop "My Life" off at a thrift store; 2) vote for anyone but HRC; 3) feel demoralized as a decent citizen. I wish someone could stop him. Hopefully Kennedy and/or Gore will publicly acknowledge the shame we all feel.

He's now caused me to 1) donate "My Life" to a thrift store; 2) vote for anyone but HRC; and 3) feel demoralized as an American. I wish there was a way to stop him. Hopefully Kennedy and Gore will publicly acknowledge the shame we all feel.

The "TWO for ONE" Presidency of Hillary scares me! A Hillary Clinton's White House would make the Bush Administration's seem almost acceptable!

  • Posted By: lisalewis1017 @ 01/19/2008 10:20:20 PM

Bill Clinton is a liar who views this presidential race as a referendum on his eight years in the White House.
He thinks he's running for a third term. They had their chance in the White House and what did they do with it
they squandered much of the time fighting scandals that they themselves created. Bill says it would be a gamble to elect Obama. Is that the pot calling the kettle black...coming from a sexual deviant who molested interns in the White House. Having him back in the White House? Now THAT sounds like a gamble. They both act as though they are entitled to office and I think they are both angry at Obama for having the temerity to run. They wanted to coast to the nomination and bring out the bare-knuckled politics in the general against the Republican. The irony is they'll win the battle(the nomination) and ultimately lose the war(the general).

???The throne belongs to us???- The Clintons walked into Iowa, like Napoleon entering Waterloo, claiming what is "rightfully" theirs, but that air of entitlement was dispelled immediately. Since then, they have taken off the gloves, as professional politicians are known to do, and what has ensued is a classic example of the corruptive influence of power. Even in a democracy, those with power will do anything to maintain and regain it. As Bill Clinton's role increases, the viability of Hillary will come into question. I don't begrudge them for leveraging Bill's popularity (The success of the Clinton brand was built on his career), but I think there is something to be said about going to the well too often. If they want to typecast Obama as an orator, then they have to be ready to hear Hillary characterized as a political surrogate. If you have to bring out the "big guns" for what was supposed to be a series of coronations, what does that bode for the general election? America needs to enter a period of sustained, bipartisan cooperation, but the Clintons are failing to unite their OWN party. They are NOT the answer to what ails our country.

says a member of the Clintons' circle, who asked for anonymity, "It's worth it to tarnish himself a bit now to win the presidency." says it all.....

  • Posted By: Panthro12373 @ 01/20/2008 12:39:49 AM

Winslowgirl, Bill Clinton crossed the line between defending his wife and slandering Obama weeks ago. Answer me this: who will defend Hillary from him?? I'm not referring to his well-chronicled infidelities. I'm talking about his massive ego and thirst for power. As much as the Clinton camp wants to portray him as a valuable advisor to HRC, it is clear that he does not know his role. He wants to win, not for the good of the country, not even for his "beloved" wife, but for himself. He's a classic narcissist who has found a loophole in the presidential term limitations. If the liberal media has turned on them, what do you think will happen with congress? It is clear that the Clintons have too much baggage to effectively govern.

    • Posted By: mageduley @ 01/20/2008 11:42:50 AM

This is interesting. If Hill becomes president, will bill stand outside congress and strongarm them into voting for HRC's policies. He did it at the nevada caucuses. Why not congress as well?

    • Posted By: bettie01 @ 01/20/2008 12:48:55 AM

The only people still obssessed with the Clinton's personal life is the media and hypocritical republicans, no one else really cares so get over it. McCain also cheated on his wife so I hope they don't even think about playing that card. Hillary will crush McCain in the purple states like Ohio, Iowa, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Florida ...I am confident of that.

In no way shape or form Bill should be silenced or hidden. This was Gore's mistake in 2000. americans in General don't care about what happened with Bill's private life. As a reminder when Bill left office he enjoyed a 60% favorable approval rate. The media always want to hide Bill and Hill shoud not do it. Why hide the most favorable president inour nation's history? Why hide his economic accomplishments and the peace we all enjoyed during his presidency? Why shut him up when he has so much to say?

No way Hill!. Don't hide Bill. We want to hear more of him NOW.

    • Posted By: Carthage @ 01/20/2008 11:29:50 AM

Hill is no Bill, and Bill should not be running for a 3rd term. 'Pathetic' is not a word that used to come to mind when thinking about him, but now he is showing he will do ANYTHING to win, no matter the cost to the party or country. Rove smiles....

  • Posted By: 1st Republic 14th Star @ 01/20/2008 11:29:29 AM

Clinton-Obama is an obvious winning ticket, but not if the media keeps driving wedges between them, and their supporters turn on each other. Either one could be President, but not if the media gins up faux controversies and the candidates don't knock them down.

"...any vote that may lead to war should be hard -- but I cast it with conviction."

    -- Hillary Clinton, October 10th, 2002

"That???s what I???m opposed to. A dumb war. A rash war. A war based not on reason but on passion, not on principle but on politics."

    -- Barack Obama, October 2, 2002

    Some fairytale.

HRC cast it "with conviction" - unfortunately WITHOUT READING THE 94-page NIE, either, while knowing that NO ONE on her staff had the celarance to do so. Baseless conviction, now where have we seen this over the past few years? In Putin's eyes???? HRC's claim of experience is ridiculous in the light of this most important vote. The fact that she refuses to admit to a mistake - another chilling resemblance!

I think it's really important for democrats to think about the race in terms of yesterday's results and what that might mean. I think that if we run Clinton against McCain, we may yet again lose the White House. As excited as I would be to see a smart woman win the Presidency, I just think she is a democrat???s democrat. And McCain is anything but a republican???s republican. So what happens? Republicans support McCain because they hate the Clintons. Independents support McCain because they tend to like him and dislike her. And once again, we lose. Obama is competitive with independents. He has many other qualities that make him a great choice. But if you are an undecided dem, or a Kucinich or Edwards dem, please give this some thought. Please ??? we so need a democrat after the Bush years. I think it would just break our hearts to lose this one.

FROM 'HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT WEBSITE' - PRESS RELEASE 12/12/07

"...She must break recent tradition, cast cronyism aside and fill her cabinet with the best people, not only the best Democrats, but the best Republicans as well.. We???re confident she will do that. Her list of favorite presidents - Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, both Roosevelts, Truman, George H.W. Bush and Reagan - demonstrates how she thinks..."

Hillary loves Reagan! Why do the Clintons attack it as a a problem when Obama points out that Reagan broad a "wave" of change to the country, unlike Bill's triangulation steps sideways.... The simplification by the mass media of what went on the past few weeks is apalling, but not so surprising, considering the ties with Hillary, Inc. (see an incredible article in The Nation by that title in July or so - it's online) and corporate America.
