Bill Clinton supporting and defending his wife? A former president defending his legacy against the attacks of Obama? A husband concerned about the narratives of a hostile press? How terrible of him. How could he?

How about less sour grapes from a biased press? After Hillary won Nevada, MSNBC Chris Matthews looked like someone shot his dog. This is all so much bull. Do you really think people, worried about the ailing economy and the insufficiencies of their healthcare, give a toss about what Bill might do in the white House?

Only well-healed journalists and Clinton-haters (often the same cohort) can afford the luxury of worrying about something this insubstantial.

Until this campaign I had always been a big supporter of Bill Clinton. But his behavior in these past few weeks has made me finally see why so many of my Republican friends can't stand him. I have found his remarks about Senator Obama and about the Nevada caucus rules to be childish, rude, whiny and totally inappropriate. I have gone from thinking it would be a plus for Hillary Clinton to be in the White House because Billwould be there, to thinking it would be the worst thing in the world. I am now definitely supporting Senator Obama.

As a Democrat who supported the Clintons throughout Bill Clinton's Administration, I find it very unbecoming, even embarassing and revolting, that he is abusing his status to trash one of the brightest and most talented stars in the Democractic Party, Barack Obama. What is especially sad is that he continues to lie and misrepresent Obama's record and positions. If Bill wants to champion and support his wife's agenda and record, that's fine. But for him to abuse his bully bullpit to attack a fellow Democrat , who has been more than gentlemanly, and who has refrained from dredging up all of the Clintons' baggage, is beyond the pale. I think people should notice that Barack Obama has not brought up any of the Clinton scandals or used any of Bill's or Hillary's past against them. For Bill to twist Obama's word about Reagan or Iraq, is therefore unconscionable. Afterall, both Bill and Hillary have praised Reagan far more than Obama ever has, and if Hillary is such as great manager and one who can implement policy, than why is her healthcare reforms during Bill's Administration, held up in university classrooms across America as a perfect example of how not to get something done?!

Bill and Hillary have succeeded in dividing and degrading their own party. Imagine what they'll do to a whole country!

I am saddened at the shamelessness of Bill Clinton in this campaign. I used to have great respect for him, but now I understand what Geffen was saying last year - that the Clintons have an amazing ability to lie with ease. I guess Geffen was right.

I voted for the guy twice and regret it. Putting the Clintons back in the White House is not the answer. If you want health care reform, no Republicans will cross over and support it, and many Democrats in more conservatives Districts / States won't either. If it's all about winning elections, than by all means, follow the Bush-Rove plan and vote for Clinton. If you want to have a governing coalition that actually have the ability to address real issues, Obama is a better choice, We learned that up close and personal in NH.

Most Americans with amnesia or a selective memory. I seem to remember all sorts of women accusing Bill Clinton of rape, sexual harassment , assorted affairs and the biggest mess of all Monica Lewinsky. I don't know how anyone can believe anything that comes out of either of their mouths. He lied for months until the blue dress surfaced. This pervert has the audacity to suggest electing Obama to the White House would be a roll of the dice. What would it be to have him there again chasing interns around JFK's desk when Hillary 's out of town. And Hillary is no role model for women. What kind of woman remains married to a serial adulterer who publicly humiliates and disrespects her with every adlterous revelation. She not only defends him but attacks the women making the accusations. Hey Hillary all of those women are not liars. Ever heard where there's smoke there's fire. She stayed with him for the power and the status. Ladies tell your daughters THAT! What a great role model...no matter how poorly your husband treats you for get your own self-respect if there is something to be gained i.e. your own political ambitions. If Hillary were really a feminist she would have dumped that loser the 2nd time he cheated and built her own life and career on her own merits but she chose to stay and ride his s***n-stained coattails to the White House and beyond. Who needs self-respect when the presidency is beckoning.

Obama went after Cinton first (after the media encouraged him to attack her) and now they are complaining after the Clintons hit back? Too bad!! It is called hardball politics. How are they going to handle Rove if they are already crying now? The Clintons will stomp Mr. "BOMB IRAN" McCain and Rove!!

Bill Clinton calling Obama's opposition to the war a "fairy tale" is pretty shameless given his own recent comment that he was 'against the war from the beginning', when there's ample videotaped records from 2002-2003 proving the contrary. This guy is a pathological liar who lies even when he knows how damaging it is to the people around him. The oft-repeated definition of insanity: Doing the exact same thing over and over and expecting different results. The man just can't seem to help himself. Is it really a step forward to put this degenerate back in the oval office? I guess it depends on what the meaning of the word "is" is.

Clinton has no right cutting down Obama. Bill Clinton does not have as perfect a record as he'd like people to believe. Where was Bill Clinton when war was raging in Rwanda. He had all the information and every opportunity to do something to help but he did not want to adversely affect his career. He chose to serve his own interests and ignore the fact that hundreds of thousands of people were dying. He needs to step back a little and think about his intentions for pushing Hillary ahead and bashing others in his way. What are his real intentions? Hopefully they are not as self serving as his past has shown him to be.

I like Bill Clinton. However, I think he needs to tone it down several notches and get out of Senator Clinton"s way.

I have the growing feeling that the Clinton "Machine", though still very effective, is a part of the problem, rather than a part of the solution. The conduct of Bill Clinton, in particular, is far from presidential. I have long admired him, but as this campaign continues, his shameful win-at-all-costs conduct has gone to new lows. It begs the question, is he running for Hillary or for his own third term? He has been used as a strategic attack dog, designed to bring Senator Obama down into the gutter with him. The Clintons are well on their way to winning the battle, but will their tactics cost them the war? If HRC wins the nomination, I will take a very strong look at her Republican opponent, especially if it is John McCain. Obama and McCain are self-made, as opposed to HRC who is riding the dirty coat tails of her beloved husband.

While I definitely believe Senator Clinton is qualified to be President of the United States of America, I don't think she can bring the country together - home and abroad. The Clintons play dirty politics. Bill Clinton has forever tarnished his reputation in Black America with his racist and very negative comments about Senator Obama.

As a very concerned citizen, I hope he will see that he is doing more harm than good to the process and just go home and rest... If the American people think that his wife is the best qualified candidate, she will be blessed with our votes.

Bill is only making people think of bringing up all of his personal baggage (Monica, White Water, all of the ladies that he was accused of molesting, lying under oath), etc...

He needs to realize that Senator Clinton is running for president, NOT HIM... His obesssion with running interference for her makes one wonder if he continue to do it if she is elected...

Makes one shutter at the possibilities...

Clinton has no right cutting down Obama. He has a record himself that isn't as perfect as he'd like to have everyone believe. In the face of putting his reputation on the line or doing the right thing for this nation and other nations he regrettbly has chosen to save himself. He did not stand up for what was right. when faced with the choice to help in Rwanda. On the other hand Obama has done much to assist the peace keeping in Kenya and Darfur. Where was Bill Clinton when war was raging in Rwanda. He had all the information and every opportunity to do something to help but he did not want to adversely affect his career. He chose to serve his own interests and ignore the fact that hundreds of thousands of people were dying. His current actions toward Obama are inexcusable.

Although Obama has always been my first choice, I always believed that I would support Hillary if she were the nominee. Any democrat who was the nominee. In spite of the Bill Clinton's disgusting personal behavior in the past, I always defended him against the Republicans (and their backers) who were determined to bring him down. Apart from the Lewinski debacle, I disbelieved most of the accusations constantly hurled at him. I don't disbelieve everything anymore. What do they call it, "blind ambition?" Don't get in the way of the Clintons or they will roll over you like a freight train, ethics be damned. After closely following the accusations, innuendo and subliminal messaging of their campaign ( their campaign which is far more about attacking Obama than telling us why Bill--I mean Hillary--should get another shot at the White House), I know I will never look at the Clintons the same way again.
