"Then, in New Hampshire, he argued angrily that the story of Obama's principled position on the Iraq War was a "fairy tale," a charge few reporters bought. "

Funny... every news show I watched, every report I read, in MSM, on cable, in newspapers and blogs seemed to by the former President's and the Clinton campaign's spin, hook, line and sinker. Perhaps, Jonathan, if you have spoken up a little louder WHEN THE STORY WAS FRESH, it would have nipped it in the bud. Part of a reporter's responisibity is to report the truth, not the spin. When news analysis is part of your gig, you need to do the job then too.

I sincerely hope EMK endorses Barack Obama. Perhaps that will put a little balance in the mix. Obama is not running against HIllary, but Bill for a third term with Hillary as surrogate.

Oh yes, this is a great stand by a female American leader! She lets her husband do the dirty work because he is much more popular than she is, and is essentially riding HIS coattails in these primaries. And before that, she pulled the political equivalent of the stereotypical girl crying her way out of a speeding ticket when Obama was leading going into New Hampshire. How weird, I would think that the feminists would disapprove of the "damsel in distress" getting bailed out by the husband who flaunted affairs while in the white house. So yes, fight on Bill! And Hillary, let your husband win this campaign for you because you are too weak to do it on your own. Pathetic.

I agree: much as I love Bill, I'm seeing a side of him I don't much like. I will vote for Hillary if she is the nominee, but Obama is my first choice as of now. I am a fraid that Bill has the porential to be a divisive force within the Democratic Party, and if we hope not to repeat 2000 and 2004, the party needs to be united and the candidates and their spokespeople respectful and high toned toward each other. They are going to need each othe against the Republicans, which is where the ire should be directed.. We cannot take this election for granted, and I would that Bill and other candidates' backers would keep their tempers amongst themselves, and disagreements to be worked out in a civil manner. Of course we need to know the differences amongst the candidates, but I wish they would not turn thos differences into an unseemly food-fight among people acting like petulant two year olds. Isn't that what we're trying to get rid of-the man-child presently running the White House?

While pretending to explain all of that "fairy tail" stuff, Bill Clinton made a racially divisive statement that probably resounded in the ears of some people, as a call to protect "their own." He said that for African Americans, a vote for Barack Obama is "a source of enormous pride . . ." Signaling that an African American vote for Barack is a vote for racial pride. Inferentially, if African Americans are voting racially, white Americans should do the same . . .
