Bill Clinton was disbarred for perjury. He does not even have the ethics necessary to be a lawyer. How does he think he has the moral authority to question Barack Obama's ethics?

    • Posted By: Guano @ 01/25/2008 9:51:31 PM

The ethics to be a lawyer...hilarious.

    • Posted By: Carthage @ 01/22/2008 2:41:12 PM

Interesting that Bill gets all worked up now, against a fresh voice in the same party who is bringing a very large group of young voters - the future - into the party. Where was he these past 7 years, with his outrage?? Oh, I forgot, making $$$ and schmoozing with his good friend Bush Sr. he makes it more clear every time he opens his mouth - it;s all about them/him, always, at any cost...

I think Greg Craig makes an excellent point. If Hillary's campaign cannot keep President Clinton in check, why should anyone believe he will not be working around the law limiting a president to two terms. I am an educated woman in her 40's, and I am appalled at the direction of the Clinton campaign. I am eager for change and the current message from Hillary doesn't assure me we share the same views - one I thought for certain we would.

  • Posted By: Sickofthemedia @ 01/25/2008 9:39:51 PM

I have always liked both Clintons, but I am disgusted with the way Bill Clinton has behaved. I won't forget as some have suggested. While my first choice for the Democratic nominee is no longer in the race, I had leaned toward Hillary. But I am liking Obama more and more, and the hatchet job Bill has given him only makes me want to support him more...

I disagree with the article that Bill Clinton is the titular head of the Democratic party. Jimmy Carter is, and he is a true gentleman.

That reporter Clinton went off on should not have let him get away with it. I would have ripped him a new one had he talked to me like that.

Yes. Hillary Clinton is a real phony. Her husband should keep quiet for a while, but I doubt it.

  • Posted By: m.cadman@sympatico.ca @ 01/25/2008 8:47:02 PM

Don't worry. By tomorrow,January 26th, Bill Clinton should have laryngitis. Time for a break here.

  • Posted By: palpope @ 01/25/2008 7:51:35 PM

Comment: I have never cared for Hillary Clinton. She is obviously inauthenic and phony. On the other hand, I have always been a fan of Bill Clinton, mostly because of his IQ, and until now, I thought he might be an asset to his wife if she happened to end up in the White House. I am, and have always been, a Democrat and a staunch Obama supporter. I hope with all my heart that he will win the Democratic nomination for President, but if it so happens that the nominee is Hillary, you can count me out of the party unity thing at election time. I would never vote for Hillary Clinton, and like Ruthles, I will write in Barack Obama's name or stay at home. After the way they have behaved in this campaign, I dislike Hillary even more, and I can no longer stand her husband. Their politics is lowdown and dirty, and they insult the intelligence of the voters. I now believe that all the negative things that have been said about them over the years are absolutely true. They do not deserve to be in the White House again, and the country has had more than enough of their politics of personal destruction. We need a President we can trust to honestly lead, inspire and help bring about change. The Clinton's are not capable of anything but lowdown, dirty, ego-serving politics. It's time for them to go!!

  • Posted By: blue_diamond @ 01/25/2008 7:39:48 PM

It appears to me that there is plenty of anger on each side of the issue here. Therefore it seems reasonable that none of you will elect the president since each one of you will be cancelled by the oposition. I believe that our founding fathers were extremely smart in setting up this REPUBLIC. The silent majority really do have the power

  • Posted By: Gerald G. @ 01/25/2008 6:58:34 PM

Bill Clinton IS dismantling Hillary's chances for the White House! The Clinton Campaign seems completely oblivious to the deep damage already inflicted. This portrays Hillary as Bill's #2, which again raises the issue of what real experience she had in the White House -- and why she and Bill are SO determined to NOT let YOU see her White House papers to judge her 'experience' for yourself. The dynasty must end now. Obama brings hope; Clintons bring despair and the politics of personal destruction! It will only get worse if THEY are elected. Whatever you do, don't let your son or daughter go to Washington to be an intern under their administration!

  • Posted By: ruthles @ 01/25/2008 5:12:55 PM

I believe that we will need an amendment to the Constitution if Hillary and Bill Clinton are the Democratic nominee(s) for our highest office because if Hillary is President, Bill will be, too. He is proving what we always knew: that he has no self control. He will not step out of the Oval Office and go about his business. He will "play President." He can't help himself. And, obviously, she has no control over him. Look at their very public marriage. She could not control him then and she, nor her advisors, nor the Democratic leadership, can control him now. No one will be able to control him then. He will move all that horrible eight years back into the White House with him!
I am 58 years old and have always been a "yellow dog Democrat," proud to claim Liberal when everybody else changed their label to Progressive, but I will not vote for Bill Clinton ever again! I will go to the other side...stay home...write in Barach's name...whatever. I don't care about the man's sex life. Or anyone's sex life or lack of it, but I know what the Greeks considered the worst sin of all: hubris, arrogance, the trap of your own ego. Enough already! We don't have royal families in this country. Bushies, Clintons: go home! Let's start over!

You know, you libs are so easy to spot. Take for example the comment by ango321, "I am a republican and will not vote for another republican candidate." Hi there Hillary Clinton supporter that has never ever been a conservative or republican. Always have to hide and lie, don't you ? Let us take a closer look at how you try to decieve those of us that read the comments. How about your statement with regard to Obama, I would like to quote a part of the statement "but if Oboma get nominated." You are in such a hurry to get your misinformation and lies out there for your fellow rats to chomp on, that you forget the basics in communication like punctuation, spelling, sentence structure. and not saying one thing and getting caught later on contradicting yourself. Don't act like you had been a conservative, you've always been a lib, you will stay a lib, so go and play your lib games between Obama and Billary all you want.

Poor poor eagleeye....listens to rush limbaugh so much that he is actually starting to sound like him. What I find so humorous is that republicans (taken right from the playbooks of limbaugh and hannity) essentialize the left. It is so easy to be a republican now because all you have to do is make a stand somewhere, anywhere, and deride anyone that doesn't believe like you do. It takes a thinking person to realize that there is more than two sides of an issue those two sides being black or white. Republicans/Conservatives always take one side or the other of an issue and refuse to accept the fact that one size does not fit all and they refuse to listen to anyone that may introduce nuances. If the attitude and behavior of republicans/conservatives weren't so completly disgusting and dangerous, it would be cute. Eagle eye, do yourself some good and stop parroting what the so called conservative pundits are telling you because they are don't have a clue what they are talking about and are only conducting a very low brow from of entertainment.

waaaaaahooooooooo! also, we get bill back, which is huge! The economy sucks, thanks for nothing you republicans. Kiss your tax cut out your ass. Did the first one help us out? fraid not. Did the war boost our economy? fraid not. IS this tax rebate going to save us? fraid not. Bush and daddy Bush are going down in the history books as two of the worst presidents next to hoover. Will they care? No. They're little oil legacy they continue to build for themselves will speak volumes as to what they did and why. Cheney and all the rest of the B street gang will thrive. Nice job Republicans. Love your presidents the past 40 years.

Bill is going overboard and turning off a lot of Democratic voters who are paying attention. BTW, the allusion to the aides at the Rose interview suggests they were trying to get him off before he did more harm, but there is evidence if you google the transcript that that wasn't the case. No need to keep repeating it.

AS FOR THE MONICA ISSUE , IF SENATOR CLINTON AND THEIR DAUGHTER ARE OK WITH ALL THAT , WHO ARE YOU TO KEEP ON HARPING ON IT ? HAVE YOU ALL HEARD OF THE " CAST THE FIRST STONE " ECT ? OR ARE YOU ALL JUST " HOLIER THAN THOUS " ?

yahoo! Kudos! Put a republican in office eight years and we come out with a recession. Let's put back the people who BALANCED the budget and put the US in the green for the first time in forty or fifty years. Bring the Clinton's back. It'll take at least 8 years to sort out this mess, but my prediciton is the republicans will drive them out after 4 if it's not fixed. They're great at whining and crying, but not at solving problems. They only have one agenda, those Bushes and anyone associated with them. Oil. If you don't own and oil stocks, forget about it.

            • Posted By: mageduley @ 01/20/2008 11:54:30 AM

You have to understand, there are 2 anti-clinton camps. One is the rabid republicans who have always hated them (impeaced for sex, all the lies thrown at them)
But theire is another camp and this one is the most important camp. We are democratic voters who were very pleased with our crop of candidates. Although we had our preference, we would support whomever the nominee was. But after careful following of the campaign, The Clintons have proved themselves unworthy. All of the years they had been subjected to republican attacks, they learned a thing or two. The absolute horrible thing is they are using those tactics against one of our own, splitting the dem party, and basically letting the dem party down. It is clear now they are not interested in representing the people. Most dems in this catagory are completely disgusted now and will NEVER vote for HRC. We had 8 years of darkness. 8 years of "going up to the legal line" but not crossing it. It appears the Clintons learned well from the republican attacks on them. It is just so said they are using those same tricks on our party.

              • Posted By: lindasmith @ 01/20/2008 10:44:44 PM

One correction: we've had not "8 years of darkness" but 16 years of lies, and extreme politics of personal destruction. No one is allowed to criticize or disagree with the Clintons. If you do, they will go after you and destroy you. African-Americans seem so in love with Bill, but please name one thing he did for them while President. We criticize President Bush for not finding Osama bin Laden, but remember that Clinton did nothing about going after bin Laden and the other terrorists. Americans need to elect someone who has integrity and humility and wants to bring the country together. Therefore, I could never vote for Hillary.

His nastiness is turning Hillary voters off. I am ashamed of his comments and feel that he had his turn in the limelight...let someone else shine. I'm voting for Obama.

            • Posted By: LittleSam @ 01/20/2008 3:34:06 PM

It's not about the "Monica Issue", and the sexual scandal. I don't think anyone really cares about that -- it's about being able to trust that someone is not lying and someone has personal integrity for himself, his family and his country.

              • Posted By: Carthage @ 01/21/2008 10:34:06 PM

What % of the Clinton years was spent on Travelgate, Whitewater, Monicagate, pardons, PERJURY, missing billing records, Lincoln bedrooms and desk stories, Bimbo-eruptions, rape allegations, fundraising scandals, vindictive behavior, secrecy, parsing "is", defining "sex"??? What a waste of time - no more drama! Selfishly, I wnat my children to grow up under a persident they can look up to, without me having to explain "compartmentalisation" and "triangulation"... Power for the sake of power, at any cost...

HRC and surrogates have been casting many stones, even inside their own party. Winning at all cost, scorched-earth campaining, playing the divide... Rove should be proud, and is smiling at the dem establishment killing off the one inclusive candidate that can accract independent voters and even REpublicans. The Clintons are the greatest gift to the divided GOP - only they can unite them all, and the record turnout will hurt any one on the dem. ticket. Party leaders can do the math: without independents, there IS NO WIN in Nov., esp. since the legions of the ABC's grow among lifellong dems - I really never thought I would get to this point, but I pledge to never vote for a Clinton again.... We deserve better.....

Who would want a president that "allowed" their spouse to abuse them over, and over again !!!

      • Posted By: marcel @ 01/20/2008 1:42:43 PM

It's not about winning or losing. It's about what's best long term for the country - healing this nation. A house divided can not stand. We need an Obama presidency right now. I submit that a vote for Clinton is going backwards. Let me ask you something. Did she succeed in delivering health care for all Americans? No, she did not. She always says rate people on what they've done in the past. She quit in the past and my health care costs are up not down. And then has the nerve to take money from pharmaceutical companies and lobbyists. I can only imagine who her health care plan would benefit. Wake up America! White,Black, Latino, Asian vote for who inspires you. Obama/Edwards '08

    • Posted By: Carthage @ 01/20/2008 10:35:46 AM

I wish there were a poll, measuring who will NEVER vote for a Clinton (again). I bet these numbers are going up, given what they have been up to lately.... Without the independents, esp, against McCain, the democrats can never win....

      • Posted By: LittleSam @ 01/20/2008 3:31:32 PM

Well, you can count me as one who will NEVER vote for a Clinton. There was a time not long ago when I thought that if HRC wins (I am an Obama supporter) I would certainly vote for her -- but not now. I know, I know, some will say that I might as well just give the election to the Republicans. Well, I'm sorry. I have to vote my heart. I will no longer hold my nose to vote ever again. It's too precious a right to squander it on nothing less than what I feel is right in my heart.

  • Posted By: starving actor @ 01/22/2008 12:41:38 AM

No democrat should be elected- black, white, brown, yellow, because democrats are stupid marxist morons who really hate the freedom we have, and want to take over our lives and dictate to us- after trying to erase our ability to defend ourselves of course. If Condi would run, she is a woman, and a black, who I could vote for, because she is an American, not a democrat.

    • Posted By: chatmant @ 01/22/2008 3:08:48 AM

Yeah, I hate Democrats, especially that really early one, Thomas Jefferson. F-er. Somebody told me he wrote some Declaration of Independence, but I always knew he was Red. Keep starvin'.

      • Posted By: reeblite @ 01/25/2008 3:00:21 PM

We're not starving for any thanks to the Republicans pal. I loathe them all. I'd take a wife cheating liar scum over a money hungry, self serving lying scumbags in office anyday of the week. Say good bye to the middle class, and remember, you're getting exactly what you deserve. As a Democrat, I knew eight years ago that a Republican in office would be good bye to the middle class. Enjoy!!! Oh, and seeing how the truth is starting to come out about this economy and impending recession before the election and a democrat will get in? You'll drive us out after four years because of all the whining you'll do because we couldn't solve it in four years. We spent money wisely, instead of just giving it away. Oh, that george bush, he's soo nice. he's throwing us some pennies, when he and his and cheney and his have secured their oil legacy right where they want it. (especially if that airbase gets built in the middle east). This was a war about oil. Bush doesn't give a *** about Bin Ladin. He was the excuse he needed. It's just a little too convenient how all this played out. I hate to support any conspiracy theory of any kind, but time tells all.
Just like Kennedy, we thought that was all a conspiracy theory too. Who ever thought the mafia had the balls to kill a president and his brother? How about a few thousand people? How much were the twin towers insured for and how much did the owner collect? Why would Bin Ladin give that to a jew? What was he thinking? Or who was he helping? There was a second shooter on the grassy knoll? Oswald worked for the mob? These questions were just as crazy sounding as the conspiracy theory building about 9/11. Hopefully, time will tell all.

I was a HUGE Hillary supporter -- volunteering, donating, etc. until Bill started the mudslinging. Now I'm not sure.
I want a candidate to tell me what they'll do -- not attacks and dirt on the other candidates. I tend to vote for the candidate that uses the fewest "attack ads". With Bill's help, Hillary is losing that race.

    • Posted By: postivechange @ 01/24/2008 1:45:00 PM

For those of you supporting Hilary because she is a woman is as bad as not supporting her because she is a woman. Do more research on what the Clintons did to America and Americans before you stand for her. She is not to be trusted.

Politics aside BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA. Give me a break, who's his running mate? Osama??? If he truly rejected Mohammed and accepte JESUS then why no change of name? LEW ALCINOR-KAREEM ABDUL JABAR. CASSIUS CLT-MUHAMMED ALI, CAT STEVENS-YOUSEF YABBADABBADO. It is customary to carry a MUSLIM name to authenticate the faith. AMERICA are you really so blind??? Are we reduced to a MORMON or a MOHAMMED as our choices? GO RUDY and GO HILLARY.

I applaud the fact that you notice and appreciate Hillary's right-wing light foreign policy. After all, it WAS a popular war at the time! And who doesn't like to be popular? As for your name games, I have to admit that Barak Hussein Obama is the sweetest name I've seen in a long time. Maybe I'll vote for him. He's not a Mohommed, though. I think he's a John, or a Jeff, but probably a Jesus. No, wait a sec: he's actually "a Barak." ...Also, if he wants to destroy America you'd better betware of his colleagues in the Senate! The Obama-Lugar (R) and Obama-Coburn (R) legistlation were terrible! The first takes away mean people's nukes, and second makes govenerment be more open about lobbying money. It all sounds so evil. I'm with you: give the nuclear technology back to the poor insurgents! ---There's a reason you're in that padded room.

Can any sane person believe a man will destroy children, wife, himself and his country because of the accident of not choosing his father name correctly?.
How evil to claim a two year old who was left by a father he never known to be a closet sympathiser of terrorists?.
Jesus was born a Jew who ever held that against him. Barack was born and raised a christain and he is a very proud christain and faithful christain period. Smear as much as you are capable of but on the issue of his religion, he was born a christain, raised as a christain and will always remain a christain. Seeking the presidency will not change his christainity or love for Christ and America!!.

err, I was under the impression that Obama was born and raised muslim and switched to christianity, do I have my facts wrong?

  • Posted By: Seeking Truth @ 01/22/2008 4:31:41 PM

As a former Reagan supporter, I would now vote for any Democrat in the field against any Republican. Do believe that although Clinton (Republican light) and Obama (good ideas, but weak plans) are both very intelligent and talented and could do a far superior job compared to what is happening now. However, the Republican's "Southern Strategy" will wipe either or both out. Let's face facts, in the South there are those who would never vote for a Woman, no matter what they claim in public, just as there are those who would never vote for a Black. They will lose with great words of platitude and bring out enough ultra-conservative types to win borderline races for the the Republicans.

Has anyone noticed that despite the polls showing John Edwards defeating any of the Republicans that he gets nothing but negative press? Could it be that he is the only one talking about the Middle/Working Class getting a fairer share of the wealth; he is not taking large corporate contributions as the other two do; is talking about re-regulating the anti-trust activities of the huge mega-corps., and is not spending $ millions on corporate adverting in print or TV? Could it be that Edwards is really the one that Karl Rove and the elitist super-rich fear the most?

    • Posted By: practicaltruth @ 01/25/2008 12:58:17 PM

I believe you are right on point. The Republicans do not want John Edwards as the candidate because he will be the hardest for them to defeat. I cannot believe the voters do not see that. Over one-half of the party say they will not vote for Hillary. How on earth could she win a general election? If the Democrates want to give the White House to the Republicans for four more years, just nominate Hillary and see what happens.

Hey eagleye, you are right, I register as a Republican and vote for Bush in 2000, (not 2004) but I have a more liberal view in life. Friend of mine called me a RINO and I am proud of that. I don???t blindly follow any political party, I vote for whom I believe that could take this country out of this mess. My first choice is Hillary and my second is Obama. Now let be fair, when Obama and Edward gang up on Hillary, I did not see anyone complain about it? But when Bill Clinton questioned Obama???s experience and his vote in supporting Iraq war, everybody telling him to chill, why is that? You (eagleye) sound like a 'moran' conservative friend of mime. Like him, you have your head in the sand and hate Clinton with passion. I would waste my time with you because you are already shut down.

"This doesn't hurt Hillary it spins the attention to Bill so he can do the heavy lifting and get the Obama camp tangled in the race box. It's deceitful as hell but very smart. He's a great campaigner, passionate and refuses to lose. I believed him and voted for him. He embarrassed other Americans and me when we were serving overseas and the scandal broke. Then he lied right in the camera. Then he was impeached. Then the women, Whitewater ugh. And now I'm suppossed to jump up and down because he's baiting me? No, not that stupid. This is a chess game to him. I would vote for Obama. I would vote for Edwards. I would vote for McCain, but never a Clinton. Never again. I hope they find peace in their marriage but I'm not going to be sacrificed for all their zeal." --MissyE

    Beautifully stated.

How stupid is stupid! Hillary Clinton is not depending on her status as First Lady to support her claim for experience, although it would be 'stupid' to discredit the unique perspective she had to the presidency and workings of federal government. She demonstrated her individual political skill when she distinguished herself among Congressional colleagues and Democratic Party members as a newly-elected Senator. She has more pertinent educational and professional background than most presidential candidates. She is widely-respected in foreign nations, She is significantly more intelligent than the incumbent. I don't know if eagleye is himself a moron (who can't spell) or simply a sexist pig, although the two characteristics frequently go hand-in-hand. The only reason for Hillary Clinton 'not' to be the next president is that she'd be inheriting the mess left behind by the current Administration.
