Comment: ALL SAID AND DONE ,COME LETS HAVE THE FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT OF USA.
Hillary downplayed expectations—and came away with a vital win.
Comment: ALL SAID AND DONE ,COME LETS HAVE THE FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT OF USA.
Comment: I CANT WAIT FOR LAURA TO RUN, SO BUSH CAN SNEAK INTO THE WHITE HOUSE AGAIN!!!
bush-clinton-clinton-bush-bush??????clinton???
POWER CORRUPTS and two families have had a stranglehold on our "democracy" for 20+ years.
AND PEOPLE STILL FALL FOR THE EXPERIENCE CARD HOOK LINE AND SINKER.
as a first time voter I can see why so much of America is apathetic towards politics these days.
the thought that the same family will be in the white house for more than eight years should be UNCONSTITUTIONAL; it is an absolute ABOMINATION that should not even be CONSIDERED.
if we wanted the same family to rule the country why did we throw a litlle tea party in Boston hundreds of years ago?
i think Bill Clinton did some good things while he was President, but???
I AM DISGUSTED THAT ANYONE CAN EVEN THINK ABOUT VOTING THE CLINTONS BACK INTO THE WHITE HOUSE.
Comment: To answer your question ayoss58...You are that stupid if you vote for HRC.
Comment: To suggest that Obama has more legislative experience than Hillary is CRAZY and without merit. Obama was absent more times than not when he was a State Senator and the same practice continued when he got in the Senate. A recent example occured when the Senate voted on the Iranian Resolution. His reason for not being there was because he was running for President. Hillary voted!!! There was an article that concluded that Obama was very lazy as a State Senator and if he did vote on a bill he didnt wanted to committ himself to it. Hillary on the other hand was ensuring the passage of bills before she became a Senator. So please get your facts right.
Comment: Nicholas Kristof from NYTimes have a column on Jan. 20 that drew on the
comparative experiences of Barack and Hill. He also called Hill's claim of 35
years experience as spurious. Barack's legislative experience is definitely
superior to the parochial bills that Hill was only capable of promoting. If you
honestly compare even their length of service in the Senate, everybody should
expect Hill should win in quantity, but that's not the case, Barack's output
would swamped Hill by landslide, much more in terms of quality and impact not
only to the country but to the world. So where/what did Hill spend her Senate
experience ? The answer lies in her penchant to appear in front of cameras to
show off how hard she worked, but producces nothing, perhaps even snuggling up
with more senior colleagues in a drinking spree to bond with them ! Let us ask
her to numerate her Senate output in live TV debate and follow it up in
comparison with Barack's and see how spurious and inferior was her experience !
Comment: The Clintons have intentionally distorted Barack Obama's record on a number of issues. The American people are tired of politicians who lie and distort their opponent's records to gain the edge. Our politicians should be held to a higher standard. We should have politicians who are honest and above tactics that are unethical, irresponsible, misleading and dishonest -- who are willing to do anything to win. After all most of us teach our children to be honest, ethical and not to lie.
How can we have trust in our leaders to be honest with us when they have not been honest and ethical on the campaign trail. Politicians who intentionally lie, distort and mislead are in all honesty not honorable people, and basically unethical -- not the kind of people we should want to run or represent our country.
I can only hope that Barack Obama will not stoop down to their level while trying to set his record straight, which he must, against the lies and distortion their campaign are trying to get into the American psychy. These tactics are old time party politics and should be a thing of the past as we move towards the 21st Century, towards cleaner air, cleaner water, cleaner politics, towards a more holistic way of living. It is a greater duty and in the best interest of the country for Barack Obama to continue to stay positive and hopeful while attempting to bring this country together and lift it up from fear an a distrust of one another -- to continue to show the American people and the world there is another way to run for office other than smear and fear. That is why Obama and Huckabee are so appealing. They are authentic and each in their own way are trying to lead the Americans away from dirty campaigning, lies and tricks. How can a country be blessed after all that ugly and dirty fighting, it can't be. And too we have to ask ourselves as a people, why do we allow this behavior to be acceptable and reward this kind of negative behaviour, when we would not accept it in ourselves.
Comment: Wha is the prper role of a former president?. The bad and racist cop?. Common give us a break. Your wife has nothing, no charisma, vision noeloquence but he kitchen xperiec in the whitehouse. Will she beat Macin on that kitchen experience, nope!!!.Since when did the experience of an ipeached president freely transfers to the wife???. Hillary never ran a store, a city nor a state.NOTING.Where i this fairy-tale of eperience coming from???.e we that stupid??.
Comment: Obama has accomplished the hard part, people like him and are listening. Now he has to fill their ears with Economic prosperity and relief to the middle class. He should have a march for the MIDDLE CLASS that INCLUDES ALL RACES AND ALL AGES. He needs to battle Hillary for the older vote. Senior Citizens and Latino's make up a large majority of the electorate in Florida. OBAMA needs to start telling these people specifically what he is going to accomplish on behalf of their interets.
Any presidential economic plan will be directly affected by the events in Iraq. We need to get the hell out of Iraq because our military presence in that region is a constant irritation to the region. Anyone who is knowledgable about Homeland Securtiy will tell you that Al Queda is regrouping. They attack in Waves and it only take one big Hit to change things on the ground. Just because things are going well now does not mean they will remain the same. This is the trap so many have fallen into, they supported the war because it seemed everything was progressing well, as soon as things started to deteriorate everyone jumped ship. In this case people jump ed off the ship and then got back on amazing. Not one more American life should be wasted in Iraq. We can secure the oil without force. We cannot afford Iraq we are living beyond are means and this will never get old. This is why Obama has fallen off a little, he is not stressing a specific middle class plan that is stronger than Hillary's. He is not reaching out and uniting Latino's and Blacks. Could you imagine if he held a March to end racial tensions that included all races. He needs to stay on the Iraq issue and let the American people know their is a cheaper and more intelligent way to deal with the situation in Iraq. ALSO, for some reason Obama looks fatigued and tired. It could be that he is trying to quit smoking. If he stops cold turkey it will be hard for a month
Comment: They also lied when they said they will leave no child. Republicans are cheap and they bilieve in economic feudalism where the middle class are their servants. The owners of capital have stolen billions from the American people and used War to get away with it. Romney represents these capitalist and people would suffer greatly under his presidency. THis is why the Republicans want McCain to be their candidate because he lines up well against the democratic offense line. He is an honest war hero and strong on Terrorism and foreign policy. He is really the Republican's only hope. However people want change and the Republicans are the staus quo, the really have no chance unless Bin LAden is captured or killed.
We are about to go into a recession because we are wasting HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS. ot tax payer money . .Any presidential economic plan will be directly affected by the events in Iraq. We need to get the hell out of Iraq because our military presence in that region is a constant irritation to the region. ALSO, for some reason Obama looks fatigued and tired. It could be that he is trying to quit smoking. If he stops cold turkey it will be hard for a month. But if he smoke once in a while it will affect his nervous system. Looking Tired during the New Hampshire debate hurt Obama. Obama is young he should never look Tired. He never stressed that his economic plan is more beneficial for the working mother than Hillary's. These are the issues that brought victory in IOWA. The CLinton machinery is outworking the OBAMA machinery. The Hillary machinery is bringing in over fifty per cent of the vote. So Obama needs to push harder and make up that small percentage he is losing buy. Unfortunately, it appears OBAMA has fallen into the race trap
Comment: What is sad is that the money for social programs was a fraction of the cost of the Iraq War which means that there was more than enough money to fund these programs in the first place. It shows that Republicans were just flat out lying when they said there was no money for programs that fed kids in lower income neighborhoods.
Comment: We are about to go into a recession because we are wasting HUNDREDS OF BILLIONS OF DOLLARS in IRAQ. The Republicans decided they would cut money for social programs and instead take the people's tax money and give it away to private firms who have profited tremendously from the war through billion dollar government contracts.

Comment: To annevilla: Get your facts straight before posting.
That paragraph was written by a newspaper in New Hampshire as part of endorsing Hillary, and was NOT written by HER press staff. There are so many press items each day regarding HC's candidacy that it would be easy to miss an erroneous sentence within a generally positive article.
Rebutting the way that paragraph was written on her website under "The Fact Hub" (http://facts.hillaryhub.com/archive/?id=5309), HC's team wrote the following:
"In fact, Senator Clinton only complimented President Reagan???s communications skills ??? an attribute of his that has been widely praised by Americans of all ideological stripes ??? and did not list him as one of her favorite presidents. She also noted that she respected George H.W. Bush."
So, she actually only complimented Reagan's communication style. One could easily say that they respect ANY president as a matter of courtesy - especially when that president is working with one's husband on worldwide disaster issues (remember the GHW Bush/Bill Clinton tsunami relief effort?).
I'm sure annevilla that you'll just find something ELSE negative to say, but perhaps you should check your FACTS first before you spread erroneous rumors.
Though I have not decided who to back yet, I think we should all be discussing more important issues at this point, right?
There are plenty of serious issues that are pertinent to our country and world right now, let's focus on those.
Negativity will only tear our party apart, and give Republicans the edge in the General Election.
Comment: Obama is a formidable vote getter. Hillary's NV win was less than 600 votes. That is less people than those that live in most city blocks.
In NH: 9 delegates each. In NV: 13 vs 12 for Hillary.
Hillary is trying her best to spin a 600- vote count into a huge victory. It won't work. Almost of 400 votes of that 600 vote difference belong to Edwards and Obama got votes all over the state of NV. That is why he won more delegates in NV.
Comment: FROM 'HILLARY FOR PRESIDENT WEBSITE' - PRESS RELEASE 12/12/07
"...She must break recent tradition, cast cronyism aside and fill her cabinet with the best people, not only the best Democrats, but the best Republicans as well.. We???re confident she will do that. Her list of favorite presidents - Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Lincoln, both Roosevelts, Truman, George H.W. Bush and Reagan - demonstrates how she thinks..."

GO OBAMA!
YES WE CAN
Anne
Comment: Regarding Wisconsinglambada's bost, I completely agree. And, I would take it one step further and say that he and his campaign are bordering on self destructive behavior when it comes to the way they're using endorsements. When I first saw the tape of John Kerry introducing Obama in South Carolina I had to double check to make sure it was real and not a joke put together by one of the late night comedy shows!
Comment: I've lived and done politics in Las Vegas. The Culinary Union rules politics in that city. Clinton's resounding defeat of Culinary backed candidate Obama is a SIGNIFICANT outcome. Regardless of what Union members said in exit interviews, it's highly likely that they received some kind of intense pressure to vote for Obama. So, for them to stand up in front of their Union Officials and publicly denounce the endorsed candidate in favor of Senator Clinton took enormous amounts of courage. I think this outcome may be the beginning of the end for both the Obama campaign as well as the strangle hold the Culinary Union holds in Las Vegas. Go Hillary!
Comment: It continues to amaze me how the Obama camp uses it's endorsements to try and make a statement. If he thinks those will make a difference, hes wrong. In the end people will make up their own minds just like the culinary workers. A head of business can endorse but America allows the employees to vote how they want. I think that after Nevada Hillary is riding a wave of support and I would not be surprised if South Carolina put her on top, despite what everyone is saying.
Comment: Hillary is the best. I love the Clinton's i feel they are apart of my family... Keep yourself strong. Hillary. VOTE FOR THE BEST VOTE FOR HILLARY... greg
Comment: I feel so sorry for your family.
Comment: Is the media at some point going to pick up on the fact that Barak Obama is the front-runner in terms of Delegates? This process has nothing to do with simple popular votes, its about winning delegates based on broad-based support.
The reporting right now is really irresponsible
Comment: I need some insights. Most of the news media and 'experts' say so-and-so won such-and-such state, whereas the fact is he/she did not win all the votes in that state. For example, Clinton won 12 delegates and Obama 13 delegates in Neveda, even though "Clinton 'won' Neveda" (and CNN's headline is 'Big Victories for Clinton, Romney and McCain'). How come THE winner (i.e. Clinton) win 1 delegate less than the 'loser' (Obama)? No one seems to be able to explain that. How come people pay attention only to Clinton's 51% and Obama's 45% but not the actual number of delegates won by each? And no experts bother to explain why all the Repulican candidates except Romney did not bother to campaign in Neveda which has more delegates than S Carolina. Is it just because historically whoever won the White House must win SC? So candidates play up to this 'superstition' rather than focus on states where the votes are? I am still puzzled why the Wyoming results were generally overlooked by the media. Romney gathered quite a number of delegates from 'unimportant' states like Wyoming and Nevada. Is he wise in winning these 'low profile' states one by one? I am very disappointed that our news media has done a fairly poor job in analyzing the campaign. We need more indepth analysis and the 'whys' in addition to the 'whats.
Comment: The virtual incumbents once again twisted their way to another collective win! Because the Clinton's speak with one voice, think with one brain and act from one play book , they cannot be separated. This election seems to be more important to Bill Clinton then to Hillary. I suspect that the race baiting by the Clinton's cost approx 10% of the Latino vote. As one entity the Clintons must be attacked as a collective! Wake up Barack!

Comment: Divisive politics. Hillary has succeded in dividing blacks among blacks, latino amongs latino, Culinary amongs the workers they have fought for all their lives, Americans against americans. Politicis of fear deciet....One thing is clear. The more young and educated people get involved in voting, the lesser impact will the spin such as Hillary conducts will succed. A new generation of voters are coming up..

Comment: This former First Lady may turn out to be first, but she will lose all semblance of ladyhood in the process unless she stops twisting the truth and dividing the people.
Comment: Nope, no one got intimidated. But Bill Clinton sure tried. He stood outside the caucus sites and tried to strong arm people into voting for Hillary. Check it out yourself.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/01/19/bill-clinton-ignites-ruck_n_82327.html
Comment: So in the end, thanks to the at-larce caucuses, Hillary won. Hmm.... I guess, it was good that no one got intimidated to vote for Obama agaidt hid will. Good job, Hill!
Comment: The Bushes want Hillary to continue the Bush-Clinton-Bush corrupt Washington politics as usual. Sadly for our country it just could happen.

Comment: this bush-clinton-bush thing is getting sooooooooo old. you can count on one thing. after G.W.B. NO ONE IN THERE RIGHT MINDS WOULD EVER WANT TO HEAR THAT NAME AGAIN. BUSH'S BROTHER WILL NOT OR EVER RUN FOR PRESIDENT. GOOD GUY MAYBE, HOWEVER LACK LUSTER...ALL THE BUSH'S TIME HAS ENDED... GREG
Comment: Hillay won the delegate count! She has the super delegates! 210 (hillary) to 123 (obama) LEARN HOW TO READ PLEASE!!
Comment: Hillary won the delegate count as well. Look at the super delegates, like duhhhh.
Comment: The super delegates could change their minds between now and Denver in August.
Comment: So much for the media being negative on the Clintons. Headlines read Clinton, Clinton, and Clinton. Look at the delegates scoreboard folks, Obama won this one.
Comment: "They had gotten off work at "Dawn" ???????
I was pretty darn sure the nvddem at-large rules read that a worker must be within ""1"" hour of their shift.
Id say if they got off work at dawn they had plenty of time to make it to their home precinct.
This is the kind of skirting of the rules that had most of us upset to start with. No accountability.
Comment: Was Clinton behind the anti-Obama super-smear Robocall just like her campaign circulating Obama-smear emails?
Nah, it was just a totally isolated incident of which she was completely innocent. She would never do anything desperate like that. Again.
