I thought Obama's response about him voting present (instead of yay or nay) well over 100 times was his weakest moment of the night. He always seems to skirt around any issues that reflect on him negatively. Why can't he just be accountable for his actions? He is always covering them up, denying that the issue exists, or diverting attention to some one else. It is quite disappointing!

(These votes were not because he was too busy on the campaign trail. He was present and refused to vote because taking a stand on either side would be used against him politically. He was afraid to cast the tough votes and stand up for the American people. His campaign was more important to him than the people he served.)

Last night's debate have finally exposed to the whole world that the Clintons are really so power hungry that they will go to all extent even at the sacrifice of their image as fighter for equal rights. The black voters should remember what they saw with Hill's scrappy behavior to even grab Barack's time to speak without any hesitation. If they can do it in front of the whole world just to score their points and make them appear good, everything she said was meaningless. How can someone fight for equal rights if she doesn't even give Barack the equal time to rebut the Clintons and he was running against both at the same time. This should be taken advantage by Barack and exposed their hypocrisy of fighting for the black people when they can't even allow Barack to have his own time ! I hope the whole world now see the Clintons for what they are, distorting, lying and shutting out their enemies. How can Hill claimed that she can work with the GOPs when she have shown to the whole world that she doesn't even have the slightest courtesy to hear out the other side ? This is what made the Clintons divisive and the debate only reinforced that character.

Nicholas Kristof from NYTimes have a column on Jan. 20 that drew on the
comparative experiences of Barack and Hill. He also called Hill's claim of 35
years experience as spurious. Barack's legislative experience is definitely
superior to the parochial bills that Hill was only capable of promoting. If you
honestly compare even their length of service in the Senate, everybody should
expect Hill should win in quantity, but that's not the case, Barack's output
would swamped Hill by landslide, much more in terms of quality and impact not
only to the country but to the world. So where/what did Hill spend her Senate
experience ? The answer lies in her penchant to appear in front of cameras to
show off how hard she worked, but producces nothing, perhaps even snuggling up
with more senior colleagues in a drinking spree to bond with them ! Let us ask
her to numerate her Senate output in live TV debate and follow it up in
comparison with Barack's and see how spurious and inferior was her experience !

Well, now it looks like Bill and Hillary have settled for the Samson option - pull the Democratic Party temple down if needed for them to return to the White House. Goodluck folks, some of us are bailing out of the building to watch this one from the sidewalk in November. I'm so thoroughly disgusted at the turn of events for my former party. Billary, you have the party, like you planeed with Terry McAuliffe, to yourselves now.

Don't think the exchanges were any worse than some of the exchanges seen between Romney and Huckabee in earlier debates. However, Obama and Clinton lost sight of the real problem - the dire need to take the nation's foreign policy away from the chickenhawks, take our fiscal health away from prescriptions written by deficit spending addicts, and economic control away from those that believe in trickle-down economics.

This is a tragedy for the democratic party to see all three candidates bickering in a childish, immature way that Jerry Springer could only love. This is what happens when you employ the tactics that the Clintons use to win at all costs and arrogantly think that they can persuade people to forget their ridiculous behavior. I believe we as people forgave them when they were maliciously attacking republicans, but to see them go to that level on their own is absolutely appalling. I really have my doubts that the democratic party can bounce back from this, they are truly divided...Thanks Bill and Hillary. You have lost my vote for good!!! I must admit though that Obama held his own very well taking incoming from both sides of the podium while being pulled into the fray.

Senator Obama explained that his dealing with Rezko was mearly 5 hours at a law firm but Rezko contributed tens of thousands of dollars to his campaign and even sold Obama some property at a 'discount'.

Senator Obama should really be more honest about his past. If we got over his drug use, we will get over his political errors.

The "present" votes - 130 out of 4000 in the IL senate - are strategic votes, whereby you are indicating to the other party that you are willing to compromise. It is approved by the Democratic Party in IL.
