Comment: What I don't understand is the under-reporting of what's actually going on in Iraq?

The US introduced a new weapon a couple of months ago that has proven to be very effective. It's an unmanned aircraft, that dials up every cell phone for miles around it as it flys over head. The terrorist use cell phones to set off their bombs, but this new weapon has been effective in blowing up the terrorist as they are building their bombs. Where are the stories about this?

Also, a widely know story in Iraq is how Al Qaeda in Iraq backed about a dozen 10 year old children in a oven, stuffed fruit in their mouths and served them to their parents on a plater. This action has done more to turn Iraqi's against Al Qaeda than anything the US has done, yet I haven't seen any news coverage of it?

But let the terrorist blow up one of their bombs in a market.....and it's headline breaking news. Why is that?

Comment: Despite what powers the media thinks it has, they cant report everything they want to. Esp. if it comprimises operations. Sometimes they are censored to some extent, or told to hold off airing some stories. And they do, fearing it will make them look bad in the publics eyes , knowing they put lives in danger and only cared about ratings. So they stick with celeb. stories as fillers and to take ppls minds off of Iraq. Which I think is good, last thing the enemy needs is exposure.

Comment: Yes the hard work is paying off like it usually does if given the proper support and time. The "Cut and runners" have been and still are invested in Americas defeat so we will probably still see them try to pull our men and women out of Iraq before the job is complete. Probably why you don't see any news reporting the gains we make in Iraq but news of tradgedy is rushed to our living rooms. America hey listen up, it's o.k. to be proud to be an American. We have the best country in the world and the most freedoms and highest quality of life. Every time you see a poitician or some other publicity hound telling you how horrible America is just remember they only have their own personal gains at heart and they will help our enemies defeat us as long as it serves their own purpose. Get on the right side and support your own home it's the only one you have.

Comment: Awesome. Glad things are going well. The people who wanted to cut and run will be proven wrong by history, which is why the better things go the more they want to bail. Success and the establishment of democracy in Iraq, and deeper into the Mideast as a result, are the true motives of the "Voted for it and then against it" cynics that compose the loudest opposition to staying in Iraq.

Comment: This effort is futile until we decide to do this thing right by approaching it as a war of conquest. When grain supplies or shipping lanes or borders were threatened or perceived to be threatened, the Romans did not then go "liberate" the Egyptians or Carthaginians or Gallic tribes, they conquered them. The "Christian" U.S. is merely a closeted pagan Rome, and many of our difficulties, domestically and abroad ("just wars"), are a direct result of this denial. We want it all, the best of times, and that's all there is to it. Inflict enough brutal violence on these people to make them into our passive client state and be done with it. China, India, and the EU can divide up the rest of thease oil producing nations in the middle east, and the party can resume.

Comment: So much for the "less violence sense the surge"! We spend 2 billion a day to stay, they pay nothing! So who has the upper hand? THE ONES WHO LIVE THERE, CAN OUT WAIT OUR BANKRUPT ECONOMY! AS THEY HAVE, EVERY TIME THEY HAVE BEEN INVADED, JUST LIKE RUSSIA! 3000 YEARS WORTH, AND GUESS WHO IS STILL THERE? THEY ARE ! GET THE POINT YET? IF WE LEAVE THEY WILL CONTINUE THERE 3000 YEAR OLD FUED, AND LEAVE US ALONE! AS LONG AS WE DO NOT STICK OUR NOSE INTO THERE POLITICS, THEN THEY HATE US, AGAIN, AND WILL COME HERE! JUST TO GET US OUT OF THERE COUNTRY, COMPLETLY! AS DID BIN-LAUDEN, OR OSAMA BIN-WHO!
Funny thing diring WW2 we called sucide plane piolits "Bonzi bombers" due to a sever sense of service, hence the atomic bomb! In Iraq when people do not have tanks, planes, missles, helios, the only delivery system they have is people, and we dare not understand what or how! HOW would you fight the enemy, without the goodies we have? people power? you bet, what ever it takes to get them out! NOW BLAME THEM FOR BEING JUST LIKE US!

Comment: There will be peace when all the bad guys are dead. And from the report it looks like some were killed and captured. And the only good thing about a suicide bomber is a dead suicide bomber. One less badguy.

Comment: The US army is able to control two groups of people in Iraq. They are the peasants and the ones that can be bribed. The peasants do not anything in this world except to live. They don't care about politics, religion, dignity, health, safety and their future. They don't even care if the communist regime rule over them. The ones that can be bribed will do anthing for money. When the money dwindles, it dwindles their loyalty. There is no real peace anywhere in Iraq, even within the Green Zone. Peace can only be achieved when all parties put down their weapons.

Isn't it ironic: Xerox is hoping it can profit by teaching companies how to reduce their printing.
