Monash Business School Caulfield Campus

Monash Business School is a powerhouse of academic research and education in business, economics and related disciplines. We are proud to be ranked among the 1 per cent of business schools across the world that hold the prestigious triple accreditation by the three main accrediting bodies: the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the EFMD Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and the Association of MBAs (AMBA).

We attract some of the world’s brightest thinkers and most eminent visitors.  Our research continues to rank among the world’s very best in our areas of greatest strength from behavioural, development and experimental economics, to data analytics, employment and work, accounting, finance, global business, and marketing, as well as leadership and executive education.

Our talented and dedicated researchers’ commitment to tackling society’s greatest challenges saw Monash Business School awarded nine highly competitive Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery grants, as well as a Discovery Early Career Researcher Award in 2016. These grants amounted to 27.8 per cent of all ARC research funds allocated in these categories across business and economics-related disciplines, placing us well ahead of all other Australian business schools.

As educators, we continue to put teaching excellence and the student experience at the core of what we do. Our remodelled MBA recognised that to effectively tackle next-generation problems, we cannot rely solely on traditional disciplinary responses. We must imagine and implement truly innovative and enterprising ideas and perspectives.

To help our students create an impact on a changing world, we do more than simply teach. Gaining valuable industry experience is at the core of the student experience at Monash Business School. Our placements and projects give our students the opportunity to gain valuable industry experience, both in Australia and internationally.

These industry experiences help students make the link between academic study and the workplace, while stimulating significant personal development.

We continue to innovate how we educate the next generation of business and societal leaders in our region and beyond. We imbue our students with the knowledge, skills, self-awareness and confidence to succeed in life and become ‘ambassadors’ for ethical and responsible leadership in our rapidly changing world.

We are a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), the largest organised relationship between the United Nations and business schools.

Monash Business School joined the UN PRME Champions Initiative in 2016, helping to drive the agenda on developing students’ capabilities and educating future sustainable leaders and reaffirming our commitment to the implementation of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

We are part of the Globally Responsible Leadership Initiative (GRLI), which works with leaders, practitioners, professionals, academics and the next generation to foster and develop responsible action.

We also belong to the QTEM network (Quantitative Techniques for Economics and Management). This network enhances international opportunities for our students by bringing together outstanding students, leading business schools and corporate partners.

Throughout all our work, we believe we can have a discernible impact in helping to make our world a better place for all.
