Taylor Swift Goes 'Delicate' for Next Single, Music Video at iHeartRadio Awards

Taylor Swift's Reputation earned the title of 2017's top-selling album after selling 1.2 million copies in its first week of release in November. The 15-track record has also spawned five singles: "Look What You Made Me Do," which reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, "…Ready for It?," which hit number four, "End Game," "New Year's Day" and "Gorgeous." But wait, here comes a sixth!

On Monday, the 28-year-old singer confirmed "Delicate" will be the next song released from Reputation. Her fans—also known as Swifties—will be able to witness the big reveal as the video for the song is telecast live during Sunday's iHeartRadio Music Awards, where Swift has earned three nominations.

Swift did without glitz and glamour when making the "Delicate" announcement. In a message to her 106 million Instagram followers, she's shown opening a paper note that included a handwritten message alongside a heart, reading: "'Delicate' Music Video World Premiere Sunday, March 11. iHeartRadio Music Awards." The chorus from the track played in the video's background.

"Delicate" details being hesitant when approaching a new relationship, and has been rumored to be about Swift's current boyfriend, British actor Joe Alwyn. Lyrics in the song could be attributed to her London-born boyfriend as she describes a blue eye color she's "never seen" before and asks whether "the girls back home touch you like I do?"

The song might be the sixth single released from Swift's sixth album, but it's the fourth to get a music video. While the Instagram teaser left Swifties with zero clues as to what they can expect ahead of Sunday's debut, the music video will likely be riddled with hidden messages and clues—in typical Swift fashion—for her fans to decode.

Sussing out secret meanings in the songs on Reputation is a pastime Swift has previously addressed. "When this album comes out, gossip blogs will scour the lyrics for the men they can attribute to each song, as if the inspiration for music is as simple and basic as a paternity. There will be slideshows of photos backing up each incorrect theory...and if you didn't see a picture of it, it couldn't have happened," Swift wrote in regards to her music in her sixth album's prologue.

Swifties can catch the world premiere of "Delicate"—and the entire iHeartRadio Music Awards—live on Sunday at 8 p.m. EST on TBS, TNT and truTV.
