Who is Amy Schumer Married To? Comedian Shares Intimate Wedding Day Video on Instagram

For a self-deprecating comedian, embracing true happiness can be hard.

On Wednesday, Amy Schumer shared an intimate series of clips on her Instagram account from her February wedding to chef Chris Fischer. And while they had a dreamy Malibu backdrop for their vows and a wedding party full of celebrity friends including Jennifer Lawrence and Larry David, Schumer couldn't help cracking wise.

"I just wanted to plug some of my road dates," she began, adding that she hadn't bothered to write any vows in response to Fischer's. But she quickly recovered, saying that people have been asking her why she decided to marry after only a few months of dating. Schumer said, "It's because I truly cannot wait another second to be your wife."

On Sirius XM's "You Up with Nikki Glaser," Schumer revealed that she made a sex joke during the ceremony, one that doesn't appear in her Instagram video: "I promise I’ll keep going down on you, even though everyone tells me I won’t."

Schumer and Fischer began dating in November 2017 after they were introduced by his sister, who works as Schumer's personal assistant. Schumer had split from furniture designer Ben Hanisch in May 2017, after dating him for about a year. (Within 24 hours of Schumer's wedding announcement, Hanisch posted the first photo of his new girlfriend, fine artist Janine Doherty, on Instagram.)

Three months later, the couple traded vows. In a post after her wedding announcement, Schumer explained that she wasn't pregnant, and in lieu of gifts she encouraged donations to Everytown for Gun Safety. Increased gun control has been a public cause of Schumer's since a gunman murdered two women during a screening of her film Trainwreck in 2015.

Fischer, 37, worked as a sous chef to Mario Batali at both Babbo in New York City and London's St. John Bread and Wine. His family owns Beetlebung Farm in Martha’s Vineyard, which inspired his commitment to farm-fresh cooking. He wrote a cookbook in 2015, The Beetlebung Farm Cookbook: A Year of Cooking on Martha's Vineyard, and has toured teaching classes on healthy culinary tactics.

As for Schumer, she made her Broadway debut alongside Keegan Michael Key in Steve Martin's 2017 play Meteor Shower. Her next film, I Feel Pretty, hits theaters April 27
