Typically, a car trunk is the primary storage area for cargo or luggage in a sedan, coupe or convertible. While a car trunk is commonly used for transporting luggage, it may also be home to a spare tire, emergency roadside kit, or sports equipment that gets shuttled back and forth from practice to home.
Many cars also offer some variation of rear seat adjustments to increase cargo space, including pass-throughs for skis, lumber, and hockey sticks.
Large cars traditionally have the biggest trunks, but that's not always true these days. The Newsweek team has compiled a list of the most spacious car trunks available in 2021.
No. 15 - 2021 Honda Civic

The 2021 Honda Civic opens the list as most sedan models have 15.1 cubic feet of cargo space but the trunk space varies by model. Civic Hatchbacks have the most with up 25.7 cubic feet of cargo space, and 46.2 cubic feet with the rear seats folded down.

Although the 2021 Nissan Altima boasts a 15.4-cubic-foot trunk, the trunk's hinges limit the available space. The rear seats do fold, but they don't lay flat which also makes it difficult to load longer items.
