The Academy Awards is finally here. While the road to Sunday's ceremony came with its fair share of ups and downs, and is going hostless for the first time in 30 years, the 91st Oscars is looking to be a night to remember.

Among the list of those honored include numerous first-time nominees: Lady Gaga (A Star Is Born), Rami Malek (Bohemian Rhapsody) and Olivia Colman (The Favourite). Sunday's Oscars is also making history with the nomination of Yalitza Aparicio (Roma), who is the first-ever indigenous Mexican actor to be nominated for an Oscar.

While some predictions include the first-time nominees as their category's winners, it's also looking like Oscars veterans could take home the title. Glenn Close (The Wife) is nominated for Best Actress Sunday and with 6 previous Academy Award nominations, Sunday may be the night. Christian Bale (Vice) is also a name to watch out for in Sunday's ceremony. Being almost unrecognizable as Dick Cheney, tonight is the actor's third nomination and possible-second Oscar win.
