Girl, 4, Runs to Hug Michael Myers From 'Halloween' in Hilarious Video: 'I Love Him'

The hilarious moment a 4-year-old ran towards Halloween character Michael Myers at her birthday party has been viewed over 12 million times.

Young Aria Alvarado is "in love with Michael Myers," according to her mother's tweet, and has made millions laugh after she fearlessly embraced him in a hug during her party.

In the video shared on mother Rose Alvarado's TikTok and Twitter accounts, the Halloween theme music began to play, letting Aria know her beloved character was there. "I love him," she said out loud.

After looking around for the not-so-universally-loved character, he appeared in the distance at the party. "Michael Myers, I love you," she surprisingly said, continuing to rush towards him ready for a hug.

Aria is a huge fan of scary movies and so her mother planned and threw a Halloween-themed party to celebrate her fourth birthday.

"She's been loving Halloween ever since she first watched, The Nightmare Before Christmas," Alvarado told TODAY. "She loves spooky movies including Frankenweenie, Coraline, Corpse Bride and especially Halloween with Michael Myers."

"We knew she liked him, but we did not expect her to react like that. Her reaction was so funny, so I thought I'd post the little video online," she said.

According to TODAY, Aria was excited when Rose Alvarado asked just how she'd feel if Michael Myers actually turned up to her birthday. Naturally, she had to make it happen and so Aria's father stepped up and into the blue jumpsuit with a white ski mask.

My daughter is in love with Michael Myers lmao. He came to her birthday party, she heard the Halloween theme song and started looking for him 😂🥳🥳

In just two days, the video has gained over 10 million views on TikTok and 2 million on Twitter, where Rose Alvarado shared it. Unsurprisingly, Aria's unique reaction to Michael Myers has caught people off guard and entertained at the same time.

Aria is aware of the effect she's had online, and knows what trending means after watching Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2.

"I never thought I would see a child run towards Michael Myers," commented one TikTok user.

"She's a brave soul," added another.

"I don't know if I love or I'm spooked out by children being obsessed with serial killers," wrote one TikTok user.

Aria's love for a character like Michael Myers isn't a concern for her mother at the minute though, who told TODAY that: "We believe it's important to let her be her. It's totally innocent and she's having fun and she still gets scared watching scary movies."

"If she stops getting scared, then we may want to revisit this."
