Adorable Video of Toddler Reciting 'Jeopardy!' Intro Goes Viral

With Jeopardy! being a staple on American TV for decades, it's far from surprising that older generations can recall it as a household favorite while they were growing up.

But the syndicated quiz show's youngest fan may just have been unveiled in an adorable TikTik video that has gone viral, clocking up more than 1.3 million views.

In the clip, Stella Cocchi, who turns 2 next month, is seen gleefully reciting the familiar words of Jeopardy! announcer Johnny Gilbert as he opens the show.

Without missing a beat, the toddler matches Gilbert word-for-word, as he says: "This is Jeopardy! And now, here is your host, Alex Trebek!"

Making the video all the more heart-warming is the phonetic captioning of the young fan's pronunciation, pointing out that she calls the show "Jep-per-bees."

Since the video—which was uploaded on September 30—became a hit, the child's mother, Brooke Cocchi, spoke with Good Morning America about why she believes it has resonated with so many people.

"I was so surprised. It's amazing, Stella has received so much love on TikTok," she said. "I think this video in particular resonated with so many because it can be nostalgic for all different types of people. A lot of people have the theme intro memorized, but it's fun to see someone else learn it too."

Stella's love for Jeopardy! stems from her own parents' passion for the show, which Cocchi said she and her husband watch religiously. They also play the Jeopardy! game on their Google Home device every night.

"I think it's just nostalgic for me and my husband—we each grew up watching it with our grandparents," Cocchi explained. "We make it a little tradition and keep it going."

Cocchi, who has more than 100,000 followers on her TikTok account, has warned that there's even more cuteness to come from her daughter at the end of October, as she will be dressing as late host Alex Trebek for Halloween.

Beloved presenter Trebek hosted the popular show from its revival in 1984 until his death in 2020. The Canadian-born star passed away in November at the age of 80, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Following Trebek's passing, a number of celebrities were seen trying out to become the show's new permanent host. It was eventually announced in August that the role had been given to Jeopardy! executive producer Mike Richards.

However, just days after the announcement, he stepped down amid a backlash over offensive comments he had made years earlier on a now-defunct podcast.

Mayim Bialik, who had previously been announced as presenting Jeopardy! tournaments and specials, has since stepped in to host the primetime show.

For the remainder of the calendar year, the Call Me Kat star will split hosting duties with all-time Jeopardy! champ Ken Jennings, who also serves as a consulting producer on the show.
