American Airlines has apologized to Frankie Muniz over an error on his flight to Vancouver.

On Wednesday, the Malcolm in the Middle star, 39, took to X, formerly Twitter, to vent his frustrations with the airline.

"Just landed in Vancouver to start working on Malcolm tomorrow. But I have no clothes because @AmericanAir lost my luggage."

Less than 20 minutes later, American Airlines responded to Muniz.

"We're sorry to hear about this and truly apologize for any inconvenience caused," they wrote via the social media platform. "Please send us your confirmation code via DM, and we'll investigate the issue to find a solution."

Newsweek reached out to Muniz's representative and American Airlines via email for comment.

At the time of publication, the actor's post went viral with over 765,000 views, while American Airlines' reply had more than 20,000 views.

In the comments, many suggested the situation should be turned into Malcolm in the Middle reboot episode.

"First episode should be about this," X user @aaronxkong wrote.

"This should be in the next Malcolm in the Middle season," @mitchhall16 agreed.

"Life imitating art man, can't wait to see the episode that comes out of it!" @CadeAuthor added.

Others, meanwhile, all made the same joke.

"Were u [sic] in the middle seat?" @imjacoblopez asked.

"I hope you didn't have to fly in the middle seat," @TheVesuvian said.

"Were you Malcolm in the Middle Seat when they lost it?" @WillKneelander chimed in.

Muniz skyrocketed to fame in the early 2000s while on Malcolm in the Middle. The sitcom followed middle child Malcolm, played by Muniz, and the chaos surrounding his family.

In December, Muniz announced the show's revival—with Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek returning as Malcolm's parents, Hal and Lois, respectively.

"OH MY GOSH! I'm so excited to announce that after 18 years, Malcolm in the Middle is returning with new episodes on @disneyplus!" Muniz wrote via Instagram. "Get ready, we can't wait for everyone to see what Malcolm and his family have been up to! #MalcolmInTheMiddle"

In addition to his acting career, Muniz is also a professional race car driver. This year, he's racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and recently said he's working hard to "earn respect" in the field.

"I think at first, maybe people thought it was like a hobby," Muniz told People last month. "I don't necessarily worry about what anyone says, but...especially in the racing world, you grew up doing it... you know everybody because you've raced them for years."

The Big Fat Liar star, who shares son Mauz with wife Paige Price, added, "Then to have an actor jump in, it probably is a little odd. I get that. But you earn respect or the recognition as a driver and not just as an actor when you're out there competing and beating them, right? That's what I'm trying to do. That is the name of the game, right? Is to try to be the fastest. I want to beat everybody."

A specific release date for the Malcolm in the Middle reboot has not yet been revealed.
