Wheatgrass: The Key To Longevity

Green shots to toast your health!

It's important to consult your doctors with any medical concerns, and before making any changes or adding supplements to your health plan.

One thing you may be missing from being cooped up all day at home is the fun nighttime escapades where you go bar hopping and tire yourself out on the dance floor. What if we told you there's a way for you to take multiple shots in a day without doing major damage to your liver?

As you're focusing more on your mental and physical health while in quarantine, you may already be thinking of healthier alternatives to your regular diet to boost your immune system and defenses against the dreaded infection.

While taking supplements and protein powders are great to fortify your natural guards against disease, also consider choosing an alternative medicine that is both inexpensive and has minimal adverse drug reactions.

Natural herbs are important additions to everyone's diets. Maintaining optimal health and reestablishing the inherent balance in your body is the primary goal you should seek to ensure that your health-focused and oriented state right now won't be short-lived.

Maybe you used to live on a lot of junk and fast food before or you drank a lot of alcohol and soda. Maybe pre-pandemic you frequently had pizza and burgers delivered around midnight cause you just had a case of the snackies. Now that times are changing, maybe you can try to head-on in a healthier direction.

Today, a lot of people are turning to healthy foods or going organic. People have been taking a renewed interest in maintaining body fitness, detoxification, and generally keeping themselves holistically healthy.

While it is well known that in today's market there are numerous supplements being offered to promote weight loss programs, there's this one key superfood that might just best all of those.

The Power of Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass has been getting traction as a popular superfood and as one of the most important ingredients in modern food supplements. Several studies have shown that wheatgrass as a nutritional supplement provides a great extent of benefits through its main component, chlorophyll.

Chlorophyll is not just a vital food-making pigment for plants; it can also be a much-needed health-booster for us humans! Chlorophyll has been found to greatly help in killing harmful bacteria; it cleanses the bloodstream, prevents the accumulation of toxins, and provides the body with materials needed for cell regeneration. It offers you vital energy, immunity, and cellular metabolism needed to promote normal functions of the body and maintain overall health.

Wheatgrass can be found readily available in the market through different forms– juice, capsule, powder, pills, and tablet. However, the best way to consume wheatgrass is through fresh wheatgrass juice. To reap the full benefits of this superfood, it is important to consume it in its organic and native state, preferably without unnatural adulterants. Having a NutriBullet Blender Combo will definitely be handy in making sure you get your daily wheatgrass doses.

Wheatgrass has been found to be most effective when taken about one hour before meals. Consuming at least a liter of water with your wheatgrass shot is also recommended so as to reap its maximum nutritional benefits. Wheatgrass juices and shots made with your Nutribullet can be also taken in the mid-morning or mid-afternoon for a "green" energy boost.

Wheatgrass is a natural appetite suppressant and has fat-burning properties. It naturally supports weight loss through increasing signals of satiety and boosting the body's metabolism to provide a healthy gut.

Wheatgrass Can Help Alleviate Inflammation!

Inflammation is a natural response triggered by the immune system to defend the body against pain and infection. However, chronic inflammation is considered to contribute to conditions like autoimmune disorders, cancer, and heart diseases.

Research has shown that wheatgrass and its components, specifically the chlorophyll found therein may help reduce inflammation. One study looked at the effects of wheatgrass juice on ulcerative colitis, a disease characterized by inflammation in the large intestine.

The researchers found that drinking just under 1/2 cup (100 ml) of wheatgrass juice for one month reduced the severity of the disease and rectal bleeding in patients with ulcerative colitis.

The rich amount of chlorophyll found in wheatgrass has powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Chlorophyll has the potential to inhibit the activity of a specific protein that triggers inflammation in humans. Another study found that the compounds in chlorophyll reduced inflammation in cells extracted from the arteries.

If you suffer from chronic pain and this has dampened your spirit and/or hindered you from doing activities you love then this may be the solution you have been searching for! Incorporating wheatgrass into your daily diet can reduce the pain and stress in your life in the long-run.

Wheatgrass for Hypertension and Cancer!

Wheatgrass has also been found to be effective in helping people who suffer from hypertension as it lowers down the blood pressure and those who have iron deficiencies since it induces the production of hemoglobin thereby increasing iron levels in the blood. Wheatgrass shots or wheatgrass mixed in your green juices and smoothies can help in blood-related disorders like anemia.

Wheatgrass also has certain anti-cancer potentials. Studies have found wheatgrass extract to induce apoptosis and regulate the cell's immunological activity that contributes to cell mutations. This, in turn, can reduce the number of leukemic cells and can be a potential alternative supplement for patients with leukemia.

Wheatgrass juice can also decrease the risk of bone marrow impairment brought about by chemotherapy, in patients with breast cancer. For those suffering from hyperacidity and acne, wheatgrass is an alkaline agent that helps alleviate the hyperacidity by balancing the body's pH.

It is also exceptionally rich in nutrients that will help your bodies in detoxification. It even induces an internal rejuvenating mechanism that slows down the aging process.

  • Combo 2: Pear, orange, and grass
  • Combo 3: Carrot, orange, and grass
  • Combo 4: Pineapple and grass

Wash the grass well and sprinkle an ample amount of salt and water. Leave for about 10 minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

Drain. Wash, peel, and cut the fruit combo you've chosen. Add them all together with the ginger and pineapple chunks. Run the Nutribullet.
