'Ant-Man and The Wasp' After Credits Scenes: Reviews Say Best Marvel Has Done Yet

Following a Friday night critics viewing, Marvel's latest installment, Ant-Man and The Wasp, has been hailed a success. Early reviews have raved about the movie's two post-credit scenes, speculating they may be the best Marvel has created thus far.

Ant-Man and The Wasp follows Marvel's summer release of Avengers: Infinity War, which hit a one billion dollar box office record.

Ant-Man and The Wasp, which comes out July 6, is active sequel to 2015's Ant-Man starring Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly and Paul Rudd.

The sequel follows Ant-Man, currently on house arrest and balancing his hero life with his duties as a father, when Hope van Dyne and Hank Pym present him with a mission. He recruits The Wasp as they dig into secrets from van Dyne and Pym's past.

Positive reviews are a win for director Peyton Reed who replaced original director Edgar Wright during the original Ant-Man.

While formal reviews will be released next week, critics took to Twitter after the showing to praise the movie.

Haleigh Foutch called the movie "clever and charming with lots of heart."

Dug the heck out of #AntManAndTheWasp. Clever and charming with lots of heart. It’s a bit exposition heavy, but otherwise a damn delight. One gag had me laughing so hard I was in tears and the post-credits scene is easily one of Marvel’s best.

Many critics noted a difference between Ant-Man and The Wasp and other Marvel movies: there isn't one great villain. Instead, they explained that the powerful pair hit a series of roadblocks.

"...there's no villain! just… mild impediments. And teamwork! I love teamwork," said David Ehrlich.

ANT-MAN AND THE WASP is probably the closest Marvel will ever get to #nicecore. there’s no villain! just... mild impediments. And teamwork! I love teamwork.

everyone says “quantum” a lot, and then they joke *about* how everyone says “quantum” a lot. fun, funny, and forgettable.

Other critics mentioned that for a summer full of big-name releases, the latest Marvel installment held its own, and impressed with wit, Morrissey references, and two post-credit scenes some were calling the best part of the film.

On her Twitter, Rachel Page even mentions both a Paul Rudd shirtless scene and a karaoke viewing, two things which surprised her and made the movie even more fun.

Ten minutes into #AntManAndTheWasp Paul Rudd sings karaoke so yeah you better believe it’s my favorite movie of the year

Most agreed the movie boasted an enjoyable sense of humor along with the action-packed scenes from both lead heroes.

Ant-Man and The Wasp is strong on the humor, amazing on the visual effects, creative in size manipulation, and clever in its "villains." Great movie.

Critics clarify that Ant-Man and The Wasp is not a follow-up to Avengers: Infinity war, so if you're a fan looking for Avengers-saga answers, you may be disappointed. Some fans speculate that the title of the fourth Avengers movie may be released after Ant-Man and The Wasp.

guys,, you know that theory where we thought they’d reveal the title for avengers 4 at the end of captain marvel? what if they reveal it at the end of ant-man and the wasp instead,,,,

Still, fans urge that it's a useful and necessary installment in the ongoing series and not one to be ignored.
