Anthony Scaramucci Talks ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ Exit, Now In Switzerland

Financier and former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci was sighted in Devos, Switzerland, while he’s supposed to be playing Celebrity Big Brother on CBS. Rumors spread Scaramucci left the show when his fellow houseguests spoke of his absence on the show’s live feeds.  Scaramucci addressed his leave from the show, though he said he could not state the reason why he left.

In Switzerland, Scaramucci is attending a Skybridge conference. There, he was featured in a panel where he answered questions about Big Brother. He said his short time on the show was “a tremendous amount of fun,” as reported by The Hollywood Reporter. “There’s a lot of intellectuals that are like, 'WTF, what’s he doing on Big Brother?’ But you have to remember, I grew up in a blue-collar family, so you have to remember that America watches these shows. You don’t want to unplug yourself totally from America and live in an Ivory tower.”

He did not comment on his Big Brother leave further. It will likely be explained in the next episode or two of the fast-paced reality series.

Scaramucci is believed to have left the house last Monday, according to Twitter account @BBGossip, who claimed the financier didn’t plan to stay the whole season. The conversations started with a houseguest asking why Scaramucci’s photo had not yet turned black and white on the memory wall.

Since what seems like his own decision to leave, his fellow houseguests have expressed they feel his absence. Jonathan Bennett and Dina Lohan had a conversation about Scaramucci on the live feeds Tuesday.

“I miss Anthony Scaramucci,” Bennet said. Lohan responded. “I do too. He would be teaching us things right now about finance.”

Lohan teamed up with Scaramucci in the first Head of Household competition of the season. The pair were forced to fill up an oversized champagne flute with champagne. Each sat on their own swing and played their own role in the seemingly-tedious competition. Their team did not win.

Currently, in the house, Olympian Ryan Lochte is the Head of Household. It’s unclear who he is planning to send home this week. Still remaining in the house, in addition to Bennett and Lohan, are comedian Tom Greene, former NFL player Ricky Williams, former WWE wrestler Natalie Eva Marie, actor Kato Kaelin, actor Joey Lawrence, reality star Tamar Braxton, Real Housewife Kandi Burruss, and Olympian Lolo Jones.
