The latest Apex Legends monstrosity has finally crept its way out of the shadows into an official reveal. Revenant, the robotic psychopath, murdered Forge in his introduction video and has seemingly been confirmed as the game's next playable character. Over six months, players have been finding little teasers and leaks alluding to Revenant and what he can do, but there's still very little we know about them.

Lore details about Revenant are scarce. They like to slink in the shadows and may use poisoned daggers according leaked abilities, but that's about it. The robotic assassin remains a mystery to fans, though if you look at it's leaks and clues, you can piece together some parts of the puzzle.

Revenant Leaks: What Do We Know?

Since February 2019, data miners have found references to a "Blackout" character that ended up becoming the Revenant we see today., His abilities were leaked in August during the Iron Crown event, with him slinking in the shadows and throwing daggers to mark enemies. This makes him seem like a highly skilled assassin with a passion for bleeding enemies slowly. As the months went by, more leaks emerged about our fine robot friend. In October, voice lines were found in the game's code, and level designer Alex Graner posted a tweet featuring a banner image containing Revenant.

Man I love Blocktober! Here's some blockouts of Octane's Gauntlet I designed for #ApexLegends. The whole design started from the idea of 2 giant ramps and a ring of fire.

This was a fun one to make and was my first AAA shipped content.#Blocktober #Leveldesign pic.twitter.com/ZbOLShbnA6

When Season 4 was announced last week, players found that by messing with the URL on EA Answers HQ, you could find a high quality image of Revenant. This could be done by changing the 6 on the Forge URL to a 7, though it's unclear if the number has enemy ties to the Legend.

This brings us to this week when Forge was murdered on in-game television.

While some think he’s not ready for the Games, James "The Forge" McCormick is confident his Shatter Gauntlets and full backing from Hammond Robotics will help him make his mark in the Arena. Don't miss this special episode of "Up Close and Personal with Lisa Stone". pic.twitter.com/pYQiSJqZ5K

A statement from Outlands Television, the fake TV station in the Apex Legends universe, recently shared its condolences for what occurred. Expect a new piece of information to drop sometime tonight.

Revenant Leaked Abilities

We still don't know what exactly Revenant is able to do, there is is a list of leaked abilities that may offer some clues. Here's what data miners expect the Legend to play like, but these details are not yet confirmed:

(Passive) Infiltrator- You crouch, walk faster and can climb walls higher

Mark For Death- Throw a dagger, press again to reveal a target's location for up to 60 seconds. The mark is removed if the target heals back to full.

Silence- Throw a device that disables enemy abilities for 10 seconds. (Voice lines for every Apex character saying that their abilities no longer work have been found in the code, giving some extra credibility to this leak.)

Poison Bomb- Launch a Poison Bomb, damage and slow targets hit.

(Ultimate) Death Recall- Drop a totem that protects anyone who uses it from death. Instead of getting killed or downed, you will return to the totem with 20 health. (According to the leaked voice lines, it seems like you can only be revived a single time and that you cannot use the resurrect in Shadow Form).
