Ariana Grande Deletes Tweets Seemingly Slamming Pete Davidson Amid Break UP

Ariana Grande is seemingly unimpressed by ex-fiancé Pete Davidson's recent antics. After the Saturday Night Live star joked about the former couple's recently called off engagement Thursday, the pop songstress appeared to diss him on Twitter. The tweets have since been pulled.

Davidson, 24, appeared in a promo on Thursday for Saturday's episode of the late-night sketch series with host Jonah Hill and his musical guest, rising singer Maggie Rogers. In the video, the Set It Up actor jokingly popped the question to Rogers.

"Hey Maggie, I'm Pete. You wanna get married?" Davidson asked Rogers. The 24-year-old "Alaska" singer awkwardly replied "no" as Hill stood in between the two. To this, Davidson concluded by mocking his previous relationship troubles, saying: "0 for 3."

Grande was not amused by Davidson's remarks. About an hour after the promo video surfaced, the 25-year-old "No Tears Left To Cry" singer hit Twitter on Thursday where she seemingly addressed Davidson's behavior.

"For somebody who claims to hate relevancy u sure love clinging to it huh," Grande wrote in a since-pulled tweet. Grande then expressed her dissatisfaction once more in a second now-deleted tweet, writing: "k, that's the last time we do that."

Grande and Davidson confirmed their whirlwind engagement in June but called it off in October. They first met when Grande hosted Saturday Night Live in 2016 but didn't begin dating until May. Grande's former longtime boyfriend, Pittsburgh-born rapper Mac Miller, died during the course of their relationship.

While the couple didn't offer an official statement announcing their split, Davidson addressed his former relationship with the Grammy-nominated pop singer during an appearance at the Judd & Pete For America on October 20. At the event, he mocked the numerous tattoos the couple had gotten while together.

"Um, I've been covering a bunch of tattoos, that's fun," Davidson said, according to E! Online. "I'm f***ing 0 for 2 in the tattoo [department]. Yeah, I'm afraid to get my mom tattooed on me, that's how bad it is."

Davidson continued, "Obviously you know I, we [Ariana and I] broke up or whatever but when me and her first got engaged we got tattoos. And it was like in a magazine like, 'Was Pete Davidson stupid?' And 93% of it said yes."

Grande hasn't joked about the pair's split, but she's continued her healing process by covering up two of her Davidson-inspired tattoos. The Nickelodeon alum also announced her plans to embark upon a world tour as well. In October, she tweeted in response to a fan's inquiry about the matter, writing: "I'm ready. My heart needs it."

Before parting ways, Grande explained to TV personality Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show in August how she always knew she'd marry Davidson. She shared how she came to this realization upon meeting him during her hosting stint on Saturday Night Live in 2016.

"I left his writers' room when we were writing skits and stuff for the show, and my tour manager was in the hallway, and I'm not a crushy person, like I don't have crushes on people I don't know," Grande said. "But I left and I like jokingly said to my tour manager, 'I'm marrying him. 100 percent. I'm literally marrying him.'"
