ARK: Survival Evolved Extinction features several Augmented Kibble types and a new way to extract Polymer. In this quick guide, we'll explain what you need to do to harvest and craft those necessary resources.
How to make Augmented Kibble in ARK Extinction
The recipes for Augmented Kibble types arrive courtesy of coco11_ and Darkstar_YSS on the game's official subreddit. Details are still developing, but here's what we know so far.
Normal Augmented Kibble
- One piece of Cooked Prime Meat
- 10 Crystalized Blue Sap
- Three Fiber
- Five Mejoberries
- Two Rockarrot
- One Medium egg. Medium eggs include:
- Ankylosaurus
- Stegosaurus
- Baryonyx
- Diplo
- Pachyrhinosaurus
- Troodon
- Terror Bird
- Carbonemys
- Kentrosaurus
- Dimetrodon
- Iguanodon
- Pelagornis
Extraordinary Augmented Kible
- 10 Fiber
- 50 Mejoberries
- One Honey
- One Special Egg: An example of a Special Egg is the Golden Hesperornis Egg. Find or tame a Hesperornis, fill it with live fish and one might spawn. Other users have tried using Rock Drake or Wyvern Eggs, but those don't seem to work.
- One Lambchop
Exceptional Augmented Kibble
- Three Fiber
- 10 Mejoberries
- Two Rare Flowers
- Two Raw Prime Fish
- One Extra-Large egg: This includes a Rex.
- 20 Element Dust
Superior Augmented Kibble
- Three Fiber
- 10 Mejoberries
- One Rare Mushroom
- One Cooked Prime Jerky
- One Large Egg: This includes Allosaurus
- 10 Red Sap
As their namesakes imply, these Kibbles are exclusive and difficult to make given the unique resource layout of Extinction. In the absence of a proper resource map, here's a few tips to help you out.
- There isn't much water in Extinction, which makes acquiring Raw Prime Fish pretty difficult. For that, we suggest tracking a Sabertooth Salmon or paying close attention to the small pools of water on the outskirts of the main city.
- If you want to know if a certain egg in your inventory is large or extra large, just drop it down next to one of the examples we've listed above. If the size is similar, you have a winner.

How to get Polymer in ARK Extinction?
Many crafting recipes in Extinction require Polymer, but the game doesn't make it very clear how to get it. That being said, American_Money on the ARK subreddit has the full details. Polymer is made using Corrupted Modules, and these Modules are found on the many Corrupted creatures lurking around Extinction.
