ARK: Survival Evolved Genesis Part 2 is expected to be released on May 26, so its developers at Studio Wildcard piled on the reveals in Friday evening's Community Crunch blog post. Two creatures and one item made their debut, including the Maewing, Exo-mek and Egg Incubation device.
Here are the images and descriptions straight from the source post.
Maewing: "Engineered to be the ultimate interstellar wet nurse and surrogate parent, in addition to automatically taking care of your babies, the Maewing can steal enemy offspring by luring their young in for an irresistible suckle!"

Egg Incubation Device: "No need to fiddle around finding the right conditions for an egg when the mechanical Egg Incubation Device can cook them to perfection and reduce the amount of attention required. Scrambled, poached or fried?"

Exo-mek: "With a deployment of the Exo-mek, you will be able to change the tide of battle, enjoy an aerial view or manage your base to perfection with ease - but only after you pass the ultimate test!"

Based on these first two reveals, it seems like one focal point of Genesis Part 2 involves making creature breeding a bit easier than it's currently been. ARK fans have been begging Wildcard for faster creature breeding times for the past several months, so it makes sense to introduce new mechanics and devices that make the process a bit more streamlined and passive than it previously was. Especially with the Maewing's ability to lure young creatures away from their parents, players might be able to skip the early stages of creature breeding altogether.
Wildcard has done a great job of tailoring at least one creature to fit each of ARK's core gameplay tenants, so having one focused on breeding sounds like a great idea. As for that Exo-Mek, it sounds like it'll be a truly awesome high-level reward for those who manage to topple one of the expansion's new bosses. The future-tek focus of ARK is a bit divisive amongst the game's passionate community, but who wouldn't love piloting a giant robot and using it to defend your base?
These latest Genesis Part 2 reveals arrive alongside a flurry of small announcements occurring over the past several weeks. So far players have been informed of nearly a dozen new creatures and items making their way into next month's DLC. Highlights include the lion-like Shadowmane, mind controlling Noglin, and the Voidwyrm tek wyvern. Players can outfit their bases with miniguns, security systems and tek planting devices too.
ARK's prehistoric roots aren't featured much in this second half of the Genesis Season Pass, but that seemingly allows for more drastic gameplay changes and never-before-seen features.
Given how many times this content has been delayed, our only hope is that everything listed here releases on time and in a state that's fun to play.
ARK: Survival Evolved is available now on PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, Switch, Mac and Linux.
