ARK: Survival Evolved fans just witnessed some pretty massive reveals for passing Studio Wildcard's fundraising goal during its Extra Life livestream Saturday afternoon. Following countless charitable donations, fans can now watch brand-new trailers for Genesis Part 2 and the newly released TLC 3 update.
Starting first with Genesis, the star of the new clip is Doctor Who's David Tennant. Taking on the role of the villainous Sir Edmund Rockwell, he tells survivors their efforts to disrupt his carefully planned simulation are futile.
"Welcome, survivor. Enjoy the view. You see before you the pinnacle of mankind's ingenuity. All of humanity's hopes and dreams carefully nestled within this lifeboat. Each of its shining rings are laden with miracles of science and nature, a paradise where the boundary between the biological and technological has been all but erased. And now all of it is mine. I control this vessel now. I command its evolution, and, very soon, its destiny! From there, my will shall spread across the cosmos forever, infinite and undying. And there's nothing you or that puppet, that shadow of her, can do to stop it! I have already set my designs in motion. Our future awaits, survivor!"

Alongside this dialogue, fans get a glimpse of a bunch of new creatures as well. Chief among them is a long-legged beast that looks like an AT-AT, a futuristic lion and a tiny little thing called a Noglin. Despite its small stature, it's been known to take possession of its foes using mind control abilities. As for the map itself, its aesthetic looks somewhat similar to the prehistoric chrome blend of Extinction. For those with less knowledge of ARK's many expansions, the whole thing might conjure up Horizon: Zero Dawn vibes.
Genesis was just one half of the Extra Life festivities, however, as viewers also got a final look at the TLC 3 update that just recently went live across all platforms. In addition to massive changes to the Stegosaurus and Woolly Mammoth, the substantial patch also introduces insect breeding, redesigned UI elements and more. This major patch might be one of the last significant overhauls for ARK before Genesis Part 2 releases in March of 2021.
Today's Extra Life stream marks the first time Studio Wildcard has shown off any Genesis Part 2 content with a level of detail. Beyond the new creatures shown in this trailer, it's also been revealed that the expansion features a vehicle-like critter too. With many more reveals expected as the stream continues, these two trailers are just the major highlights of the lengthy event.
ARK: Survival Evolved is available now on PC, Xbox One, PS4, Switch, Mac and Linux.
