'ARK' Valguero Guide - Cave Locations, Base Spots, Dino List & More

ARK: Survival Evolved has migrated the Valguero mod map to official servers. With that in mind, here's a quick guide to help get you acquainted with the new area. Below, we'll reveal some great cave locations for base building and provide a full list of Dinos you might encounter.

ARK Valguero Cave Locations

If you're looking for the best spots for base building, here are a few hidden cave locations worth checking out.

Westtern Cave (33, 10): As seen below, you'll come to this waterfall. Enter through the middle of the fall or the smaller falls at the base of the structure. Once you get inside there's lots of space, but you'll need to be careful about ensuring those pathways are thoroughly guarded. Not only is the open area great for breeding, but there's also an underwater cave inside this cave, making it perfect for aquatic tames.

Red Obelisk Cave (82, 25): This is a smaller cave that may be better suited for solo players or those looking for a quick place to set up shop.

Western Cave 2 (60, 10): This is another small starter cave that could be easily defended if need be. The surrounding area is full of great resources too.

Spider Cave (73, 40): If you want a much bigger cave that's also close to lots of resources go here. There are winding paths that go on forever in multiple directions. It should be noted that this is one of the big Artifact Caves you'll need to head towards if you want to conquer Valguero's boss. Be aware that you'll need scuba gear too because there's tons of water here.

Wyvern Trenches (07, 77): To find a Wyvern, head northeast. This one probably isn't for base building or living, but it's full of eggs and nests for survivors to scavenge.
