Colorado Rapids vs. Arsenal: Where to Watch, Live Stream, Team News and Latest Odds

Arsenal begins its U.S. tour on Monday, when it takes on Colorado Rapids in its first preseason friendly in North America this summer.

The Premier League giants play the Rapids in Commerce City, before ties against Bayern Munich, Fiorentina and Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup from Wednesday.

Having finished fifth in the Premier League last season and being humbled 4-1 in the Europa League final against Chelsea, the Gunners face a crucial summer as they look to claw their way back into the top four.

Arsenal coach Unai Emery, however, has plenty of issues to deal with. The Spaniard has to make do with a modest budget of approximately $50 million as he looks to strengthen his team.

It is a fraction of what the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City have already spent this summer—and Emery has a gaping hole to fill in midfield after losing Aaron Ramsey, who moved to Juventus on a free transfer.

If strengthening in midfield is required, the defense could also be in desperate need of reinforcements. Club captain Laurent Koscielny is looking to engineer a move away from North London.

The Frenchman, who has made over 350 appearances for the Gunners since joining Arsenal in 2010, has boycotted the U.S. tour in a bid to force his way out of the club.

The 33-year-old has one year left on his contract and Arsenal might be forced to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free.

While Koscielny hasn't traveled to the U.S., Arsenal's preseason squad includes the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil and Granit Xhaka.

Here's everything you need to know ahead of Monday night.

Team news

With the game against the Rapids being the first of the U.S. tour, Emery is expected to experiment with his team selection. Similarly, the Rapids are unlikely to field a full-strength XI as they take on New York City FC in the MLS on Saturday.

According to Oddsportal, Arsenal is a 41/100 favorite to win, while the Rapids are 521/100 and the draw is at 347/100.
