Premier League Transfer News: Arsenal Ready to Oust Star Player, Manchester United Block Move

English football’s top teams are preparing for another summer of changes as they look to gain ground on Manchester City.

The clubs are already putting the foundations in place, identifying which players will help strengthen their squad and compete with Pep Guardiola’s champions elect.

Arsenal is preparing for one of the biggest transitions in recent years this summer, and they will fund changes by selling Hector Bellerin, according to the Daily Mail. Juventus are interested in the 22-year-old Spaniard but Arsenal want £50 million.

Real Madrid’s pursuit of David de Gea may have come to an end after the Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho told the club to “find another player,” according to the Daily Express. De Gea, the Spanish goalkeeper, has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu.

Newcastle United are planning on making Kenedy’s loan move from Chelsea a permanent deal in the summer, the Daily Mirror say, but they are likely to face a fee in excess of £15 million.

The West London club is also looking at business for the summer, and they are monitoring the situation of AC Milan’s Gianluigi Donnarumma, according to talkSPORT. The 19-year-old Italian goalkeeper would be a target for Chelsea if Thibaut Courtois decides to leave Stamford Bridge, having also been linked with Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have expressed interest in signing Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, according to the Daily Express. The 24-year-old German was expected to sign for Juventus but now the Italian giants fear they may miss out on him, as his contract expires at the end of the season.

Burnley face a fight to keep hold of Icelandic winger Johann Berg Gudmundsson as, according to The Sun, there are a variety of Premier League clubs interested in signing him. Newcastle and Leicester City are joined by Southampton in pursuit of the 27-year-old.

And finally, Barcelona have had a deal arranged for months to bring French forward Antoine Griezmann to the Camp Nou, according to le10sport.com, as Atletico Madrid has failed to agree an extension with the 26-year-old.
