Picture Shows Asia Argento and Jimmy Bennett Seemingly in Bed Together After She Denied Having Sex With Minor

A photo of Asia Argento and Jimmy Bennett has surfaced, in which the pair appear to be naked in a bed. The photo, which was posted by TMZ Wednesday, was taken after the duo allegedly had sex when Argento was 37 and Bennett was 17, as reported in an explosive expose by the New York Times Sunday. The alleged encounter took place in California where it is illegal to have sex with a person under the age of 18. Argento claimed the accusations are false and denied having any sexual encounter with Bennett, who had once played her son in a movie.

Bennett asked for $3.5 million in damages from the X Factor Italy judge earlier this year. She and her late boyfriend, beloved celebrity chef Anthony Bourdain, had agreed to pay Bennett. The money wasn't given as an apology, but as financial support for someone they saw as "dangerous," Argento said in a statement strongly denying all accusations on Wednesday.

Along with the photo, a set of text messages which show a conversation between Argento and a friend was acquired by TMZ. Newsweek has not been able to confirm the authenticity of the messages.

"I had sex with him it felt weird. I didn't know he was a minor until the shakedown letter," the first text, allegedly sent by Argento, read. "The public knows nothing, only what NYT wrote. Which is one-sided. The shakedown letter. The horny kid jumped me."

The other person, whose identity was not revealed by TMZ, asked about the photo and noted it seemed incriminating to the public. "You can see my tits. That's all. It doesn't mean s***. He is standing up," Argento said.

Argento described Bennett's enthusiasm for their encounter. "He wrote me afterward and kept sending me unsolicited nudes all these years up until 2 weeks before the attorney's letter," she texted. "It wasn't raped but I was frozen. He was on top of me. After, he told me I had been his sexual fantasy since was 12."

A photo was also shared of a piece of hotel stationery, allegedly holding a message from Bennett. The stationary is clearly from The Ritz Carlton. "Asia, I love you with all my heart. So glad we met again and so glad you're in my life. - Jimmy," it read.

Bennett has refused to comment on the allegations, though he did not sign a non-disclosure as part his deal with Argento, according to the New York Times. The deal copyrights the photo of the pair in bed to Argento and notes her financial contribution to him.
