'Avengers: Endgame' Super Bowl Spot Explained: Timeline, Tony Stark and More
The latest footage from Avengers: Endgame premiered during the Super Bowl, and the short clip has fans asking questions.
While the television spot offered up few answers to how the Avengers will confront Thanos after the events of Infinity War, there are some interesting tidbits that many fans may not have picked up on.
Here's some moments from the Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl teaser that offer up some clues as to what is actually going on in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And if you haven't already, take a look at the teaser below.

TIMELINE
After the end of Avengers:Infinity War, half the population in the whole universe was snapped out of existence. It's a pretty heavy way to end a superhero film, andthe latest footage gives a glimpse at how the world coped with the aftermath.
In the beginning, shots of the New York City skyline and Citi Field are shown. Everything seems empty. Another shot shows Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) in a support group about those dealing with the loss of loved ones.
"Where do we go, now that they're gone?" posters are plastered on the wall as Rogers sits in a the group.
This would seem to suggest that Endgame takes place weeks if not months after Infinity War ends. If you recall the first Endgame trailer, Tony Stark records a message for Pepper Potts that he ran out of food and water "four days ago" as he drifts in space, so some time has passed. Hopefully, more footage will pinpoint how much time, exactly, has passed.

HOW TONY STARK GETS OFF THAT PLANET?
One of the more emotional parts of the first Endgame trailer was Tony Stark revealing he's adrift in space. It doesn't look like he'll be able to get home, either. There's a quick shot of Tony Stark and Nebula working on something that could suggest she helped him get off Titan, or maybe they are figuring out a way to get home.
What's interesting about this scene is we see Stark welding something, but it's Nebula who looks to be taking apart her mechanical arm. Tony is likely using her parts to fix something on their ship or to create a new Iron Man armor to get them home.
Whatever the case, it's good to see that Tony isn't as alone as it seemed in the first trailer.

ANOTHER AVENGER?
This point has been made online already, but there's a scene where Steve Rogers, Black Widow, Bruce Banner and War Machine are walking out of the Avengers compound and see something in the sky.
Many are speculating that there's supposed to be another person in that scene because of the weird spacing between Rhodey and Banner.
Considering trailers and teasers for Infinity War were constructed solely for advertising purposes and not actually in the film, Marvel Studios may have digitally erased someone in that scene to not spoil a surprise. With the Captain Marvel film releasing soon, it's possible this scene will have Carol Danvers alongside the other Avengers or it could be someone more unexpected.
Avengers: Endgame is set to hit theaters on April 26.
