BossLogic Imagines 'Avengers: Infinity War' Characters in 'The Last Supper'

Kode Abdo, aka BossLogic, never fails comic book fans. Whether because of his wit or trademark neons, the art jumps right off the page. His latest piece for Avengers: Infinity War is no different.

BossLogic reimagines Leonardo da Vinci's classic painting, "The Last Supper," but with the Avengers: Infinity War cast. It's fittingly titled "The Last Shawarma," in reference to The Avengers after-credits scene where Clint Barton, Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Natasha Romanoff, Bruce Banner and Thor try the Shawarma joint down the block. Somehow, the restaurant was still open after the Battle of New York.

Almost every hero you'd hope to see is included in "The Last Shawarma," even Black Panther newcomers Okoye and Shuri. Front and center we see Black Widow, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Cap, Black Panther, Doctor Strange, Scarlet Witch and War Machine. Scattered elsewhere are Wong, Star-Lord, Loki, Groot, Bruce Banner, Valkyrie, Drax, Gamora, Nebula, Mantis and Bucky. You can even see Phil Coulson on the TV screen in the back. However, there was still one character missing: M'Baku.

Winston Duke's character became an internet sensation after Black Panther, so BossLogic followed up with another piece to explain M'Baku's absense. Instead of redoing the whole thing, he made a creative edit by putting his original design behind the glass of the Shawarma restaurant. The tripod taking the original photo is visible, with M'Baku sitting outside on a ledge eating a salad. There's a sign outside on the door that says "Outside Food Stays Outside." It wasn't only creative placement, but a nod to one of Black Panther's most memorable jokes. M'Baku intimidates Everett Ross saying he's going to feed him to his children, then reveals he's a vegetarian.

BossLogic isn't out of clever references just yet. The note that says "We don't sell chimichangas" is a reference to Deadpool's favorite food. The door next to the Shawarma entrance also says "Nelson & Murdock," a reference to Daredevil. The "Nelson" part is haphazardly removed, signifying Nelson's departure to work with Jeri Hogarth.

The original image has some cool nods as well. Korg, a fan-favorite from Thor: Ragnarok, gets his own revolution poster. While Hawkeye isn't pictured, we see his arrow piercing a poster that says "Teamwork" and a note that says "save me a seat," a clear reaction to his absence in promotional material. Ant-Man and The Wasp are perched right above the note.

BossLogic has prints of both images, "The Last Shawarma" and "No BYO!" available to buy from his website. What do you think? Let us know in the comments and check out our interview with BossLogic. Avengers: Infinity War arrives April 27.
