‘Banner Saga’ Trilogy Revealed for Switch During Spring Nindies Showcase

The Banner Saga trilogy was just announced for Nintendo Switch during the Spring Nindies Showcase. Banner Saga 3 is set to debut this summer, while its two predecessors will release “soon.”

Here’s everything we know about the Banner Saga Switch releases so far:

“As the epic conclusion to the award-winning Banner Saga trilogy of mature, story-driven role-playing games, players will need to brace themselves for tough battles, difficult choices and tragic losses. Banner Saga 3 launches this summer. The original two games, Banner Saga and Banner Saga 2, are also coming to Nintendo Switch. Players’ personal stories, progress and choices from the first two games will carry over to Banner Saga 3.”

Just like its PC and Mac counterparts, all three Switch ports will be published by the series’ traditional publisher, Versus Evil.

Banner Saga 3 expands on the success of the first two titles by adding new elements to its choice-driven, turn-based combat system. Born from the ashes of former BioWare developers, all three titles would likely appeal to fans of the Fire Emblem series.
