Did Beyoncé Just Reveal Her Snapchat Account? Instagram Users Freak Over Filter Use

Some Beyoncé fans suspect she has a secret Snapchat account after the singer used one of the application's filters in her Instagram story.

The 36-year-old singer reignited rumors of her apparent Snapchat account's existence after she shared a video, recorded February 18 at the 67th NBA All-Star Game, to her Instagram story. In the clip, Beyoncé and daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 6, sport the Snapchat-exclusive flame-filled head filter as they sat courtside with the singer's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson, BET reported.

Naturally, Beyoncé's fanbase—known as the BeyHive—scoured the internet for possible evidence, but the Formation singer's Snapchat remains unknown.

Beyoncé first teased her Snapchat's existence in February 2017, using the popular deer filter with Blue Ivy. Like last week, many die-hard Beyoncé fans began their quest to identify the singer's top-secret username.

It would seem unlike Beyoncé to have a Snapchat account since she is known for maintaining a private personal life. But if she did have a secret Snapchat account, Beyoncé would not be the first celebrity to keep her social media alias under wraps.

Model Cara Delevingne maintains an exceptionally private Instagram account—outside of her public profile—dubbed "caradeleprivate," which barely has 60 followers. In 2016 it was speculated that rapper Drake has a secret Snapchat account, after DJ Khaled said he followed the rapper on Snapchat.

Singer Selena Gomez firted with the idea of a closed Instagram account after she was hurt by her Billboard magazine interview in December 2017. "Never will I let another human guess my words ever again. Or invite them in my home. That is so hurtful,” she said at the time.
