Biden Leads Trump in Every Gender and Age Demographic in Florida — Except With Voters Over 70
Presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden holds an advantage over President Donald Trump across all gender and age demographics in Florida, except for voters over the age of 70, according to a new poll.
The poll, which was conducted by St. Pete's Polls, for FloridaPolitics.com and AARP Florida, surveyed 3,018 registered voters in the state from July 13 to July 14. The poll has a margin of error of plus or minus 1.8 percentage points.
According to the poll, Biden leads Trump in support from registered voters between the ages of 18 and 29, as 53.6 percent of this group sided with the former vice president, while 41 percent said they would vote for Trump. Biden also holds the advantage among voters between the ages of 30 and 49, as he received 54.9 percent of support compared to Trump who received 38.5 percent. The former vice president also holds the advantage over Trump with those ages 50 to 69 with 51 percent to the president's 44.6 percent.
Despite Biden's lead over Trump across the different age groups listed, the poll also found that registered voters in Florida, ages 70 and up, support Trump more, as he received 50.8 percent of votes, while 44.1 percent sided with Biden.
The poll also found that Biden currently leads Trump across the different gender demographics. According to the poll, 48.9 percent of male voters in Florida sided with Biden while 45.7 chose Trump. Among female registered voters in the state, 51.3 percent said they would vote for Biden, compared to 43.6 percent that sided with Trump.
In addition to leading Trump in most age and all gender demographics, the former vice president also holds the advantage across all race demographics, except for white voters.
According to the poll, Biden leads Trump in support from Black voters with 86.8 percent of support, compared to Trump who received only 7.9 percent. Among Hispanic voters, 59.9 percent sided with Biden, while 35 percent chose Trump as their preferred candidate. Biden also leads Trump with Asian voters with 45.8 percent of support compared to Trump who received 42.2 percent.

On the other hand, the poll found that while Biden leads Trump in several different race demographics, a majority of white voters, 53.9 percent, chose Trump as their preferred candidate, compared to 41.3 percent of the same group that sided with Biden.
The poll also found that Biden currently leads Trump in support across the battleground state. The poll shows 50.4 percent of registered voters in Florida supporting Biden, compared to 44.4 percent that chose Trump.
