Billie Eilish Defends Charlie Puth After Benny Blanco Calls Him a 'Loser'

Billie Eilish has called out Benny Blanco, after the producer shared a video on TikTok in which he branded Charlie Puth a "f****** loser."

Over the past few months, Blanco has posted a series of clips aimed at "Attention" singer Puth, mocking everything from the musician's voice to his music.

Given that the two have previously worked together and appeared on an Instagram Live with one another last year, a number of fans speculated that the feud was some sort of publicity stunt or prank.

However, the feud has received renewed attention, after "Bored" singer Eilish took to her own TikTok account to hit out at Blanco's criticism of Puth.

Puth addressed the onslaught of insults he had been subjected to at the hands of Blanco, when he said in a video shared on November 9: "You know, man, these videos were really funny at first.

"I don't exactly know why you've been so mean to me these past couple of months, but it does genuinely hurt my feelings. I used to look up to you and I don't know where all this is coming from."

Puth's comments did little to quell the insults, with Blanco saying in his own response: "I know why I made this video, because you're a f****** loser. Look at you: You sit in a room all day and make TikToks."

"Dude, what the hell's wrong with you?" Blanco went on. "Look at your hair. It looks like you've got a toupee or a wig on or something. Get a grip and get a f****** haircut."

In a delayed response posted on the social media platform on Friday, Eilish waded into the argument as she stitched Blanco's video and responded: "What do you do all day, Benny? The same thing. Literally, the same thing."

Expressing his appreciation for Eilish's show of support, Puth commented on the singer's post, per Entertainment Tonight: "Thank you."

Eilish's video has received more than 12 million views since it was uploaded. The clip can also be viewed here.

A video posted on Blanco's TikTok account last week showed a random selection filter over his head as a voiceover said: "Whatever this filter tells me to do in 2022, you guys hold me accountable for it, because I'll do it."

The random options then stopped on "make up with Charlie Puth," prompting Blanco to feign horror as he sipped on a canned beverage.

Captioning the latest in his series of Puth-themed uploads, Blanco wrote "that there's always next year."

While it appears as though the social media jabs won't be stopping anytime soon, fans continue to debate whether Puth and Blanco's apparent feud is authentic.
