Black Bear Crashes Wedding in Heart-Stopping Viral Video

Stealing the show at a wedding is usually the bride's job, however one marriage celebration in Mexico saw an unexpected ursine guest grab everyone's attention.

In footage, which has gone viral on TikTok with more than 1.7 million views, a bear can be seen gatecrashing a wedding dinner.

In the clip, shared by Angie Diaz, a black bear is leaning across an empty table and knocking over the floral centerpiece and the cutlery.

The wild animal then casually walks up to a group of diners who are staying very still, and pauses for a second before heading away from the event.

Text overlaying the footage reads: "A bear showed up at my cousin's wedding."

Speaking to KTLA, Diaz explained she wasn't scared, but "mesmerized."

She revealed: "Everything started because the wedding was in a forest, and we knew there are wild animals everywhere, but we were not expecting the bear to crash, obviously.

"When we saw it the staff were telling us 'don't move, don't move!' because obviously it was dangerous, it was life-threatening."

Diaz then captioned the post, which can be watched here, writing: "He just wanted some food #smh #SaveIt4TheEndZone #MakeADogsDay #myfinALLYmoment #mexico #wedding #beartok #fyp."

The video has gained lots of traction online since it was posted on October 22, having attracted more than 179,600 likes and been shared over 7,120 times.

Many people also took to the comments section to share their opinions on the bear's intrusion.

One person, Dianna, wrote: "How are you all so calm omg."

Another TikTok user, Joshua Rankin-Rosenberg, added: "Plot twist: bears are not as dangerous as the media made them out to be."

Famed television host Chelsea Handler called the bear "an honored guest."

User2617363326069 typed: "The guy in blue won't bother to stop chewing his food," alongside a string of laughing-face emojis.

Carol Smith joked: "Just stopping by to congratulate the happy couple."

Maltysy asked: "Why are the people there acting like this is a normal occurrence. It's a bear."

Clverse agreed, writing: "Why are they still casually eating?"

Jess offered a pun: "He was there to bear witness."

Moonpie explained: "It's a prince in a bear's body secretly in love with the bride and coming to stop the ceremony."

T Da Alien commented: "But if I crash the wedding y'all call the cops."

The National Park Service explains that if you are confronted by a wild bear it is important to remain still.

It advised to "stand your ground but slowly wave your arms. Help the bear recognize you as a human.

"It may come closer or stand on its hind legs to get a better look or smell. A standing bear is usually curious, not threatening."
