Just one day after the trailer's release, Bandersnatch will go live on Netflix Friday, December 28.

Set in the 1980s, the special follows a young programmer who hopes to create a game based on a childhood book – Bandersnatch. One of the most identifiable quotes in the 1-minute 30-second clip is, "When it's a concept piece, a little bit of madness is all you need."

By the looks of the trailer, and in true Black Mirror fashion, it can be speculated that madness will most like overtake the main character – Stefan, played by Fionn Whitehead.

Rumors swirled earlier this year about a "choose-your-own-adventure" episode by the streaming giant.

"The streaming service is developing a slate of specials that will let viewers choose the next storyline in a TV episode or movie," according to a Bloomberg report. "Viewers will get to choose their own storylines in one episode of the upcoming season of "Black Mirror," the Emmy-winning science-fiction anthology series."

It hasn't been confirmed, but some are speculating since the special is centered around a video game, this could be the episode where viewers can choose their experience.
