Eagle-eyed Twitter users picked out a number of famous faces after viewing the Season 5 trailer. Those who have been identified include Anthony Mackie, Miley Cyrus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Nicole Beharie, Damson Idris, Andrew Scott, Topher Grace, Pom Klementieff, Madison Davenport,  Angourie Rice and Ludi Lin, according to Daily Mirror editor Mark Jefferies.

Black Mirror Season 5 Possible Plots

The Season 5 trailer, which Netflix posted on Twitter Wednesday, teases three different storylines. Plot points shared seem to imply searching for love and outside simulation in a marriage, living life as a celebrity and being a young person in a technology-based society. Other moments show a police showdown, brain scans and Alternate Reality experiences.

Fans React to the Black Mirror Season 5 Trailer

Fans of Black Mirror expressed excitement for the upcoming season on Twitter, many chattering about Miley Cyrus’ involvement in the upcoming season. Fans seemed primarily excited to see the former Disney Channel star returning to television. Others celebrated Andrew Scott’s casting in the series.

Others, however, weren’t amused with the top-tier stars appearing in the series. While Black Mirror has not entirely avoided known actors in the past, the series typically uses lesser-known actors.

Black Mirror Season 4 had six episodes, though some were not particularly well recieved. Season 3 had the same case, where some episodes were highly regarded, others seemingly fell through the cracks in viewer conversations.
