'Bridgerton' Season 2 Ending Explained: Does Anthony End Up With Kate?
Bridgerton Season 2 moves the focus away from Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and instead brings Anthony (Jonathan Baily) into the spotlight.
The eldest Bridgerton feels he must fulfil his duties as heir to the family name by finding a wife, and he does so by finally entering the marriage market.
But when Anthony sets his sights on Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran) he is thwarted at every turn by her sister Kate (Simone Ashley), and their animosity soon turns into a fiery passion.

'Bridgerton' Ending Explained: Does Anthony End Up With Kate?
Fans of the book may be shocked to see that Anthony decides to propose to Edwina in the show, despite his obvious feelings for Kate.
The would-be couple go so far as reaching the altar, but it is moments before saying "I do" that Edwina realizes where Anthony's true feelings lie, with her sister.
Edwina decides to break off the engagement and Anthony and Kate share a passionate kiss, but you would be wrong if you thought this meant their romance was set in stone.
In fact, the final two episodes see Anthony and Kate continue to tip-toe around their feelings before succumbing to some of their desire (though not all), and it is after a night of passion that Anthony finally realizes he wants to propose to Kate.
His proposal plan goes wrong, however, when Kate falls from her horse during a thunderstorm and suffers a head injury that leaves her out for the count for days.
Once she is recovered, Anthony visits Kate with the intention of proposing to her but she refuses to accept, saying her plan was always to go back to India to become a governess.
It is only at the Featherington Ball, the final event of the season, that Anthony and Kate finally confess how much they love each other, and realize they want to be together.
The show ends with the reveal that Anthony and Kate had gotten married, offscreen, and they even went on a 6-month honeymoon.
In a nod to earlier in the season, Anthony and Kate join the Bridgerton family in Aubery Hall for a game of Pall Mall.
The newlyweds are still very much in the throes of love, though, and are more focused on kissing each other than they are in the game at hand, and the season ends with a sweeping shot of the couple.
Bridgerton Season 2 is available to watch now on Netflix.
