Britney Spears Calls Sons 'Harsh' Amid Release of Kevin Federline Videos

Britney Spears opened up about her relationship with her two sons on Wednesday, revealing in a lengthy Instagram post that they are not on good terms at the moment.

The post, which has now been deleted, prompted her ex-husband and the boys' father, Kevin Federline, to share three videos of the star arguing with her sons.

"I know that teenagers are just hard to deal with ... but COME ON," Spears wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. "There's being rude then there's being HATEFUL."

Speaking about her teenage sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, the 40-year-old pop star said that during her conservatorship: "They would visit me, walk in the door, go straight to their room and lock the door !!!

"The MONITOR would tell me that he just likes to be in his room. I'm like why come visit me if they don't even visit me !!!"

The "Lucky" singer noted that she had not previously discussed the incidents in order to avoid being labeled "argumentative."

She said: "I don't know what's going on in their heads !!! ... I always TRIED and TRIED, and maybe that's why they stopped coming here !!! I wanted them to love me so much that I might have overdone it !!!"

Spears revealed that she has not seen her sons in person in some time and said that she was relieved to not have to wait days for them to reply to confirm when they were visiting.

"I haven't seen them since !!! ... It's been kinda nice not having to ask about which day the boys are coming this week and making me wait 2 or 3 days for a reply !!!" she said.

Spears went on to share that her sons told her they wanted to visit her "less."

"This summer, they told me 'we may come here less' and I was like that's fine. I called their dad and told him that it seems like the boys are wanting to stop coming here as much, which I get because they have their own thing going on but I feel like they are being pretty harsh !!" she said.

"His words were 'I would never let them make that decision on their own ... I would never do that to you' !!! Well after that, I haven't seen them since !!!"

She said that the situation is just "another way" for her family to make her feel "like absolutely nothing."

The post comes just days after Spears' ex-husband Federline gave a bombshell interview to The Daily Mail in which he said their sons are choosing not to see their mother, and criticized the singer for sharing nude photos to Instagram.

"The boys have decided they are not seeing her right now. It's been a few months since they've seen her. They made the decision not to go to her wedding," Federline told the tabloid.

Now, in the early hours of Thursday morning, Federline shared three videos to Instagram that show Spears arguing with her sons.

The videos were shared by an account with the name federline4real and it features Spears being filmed as she argued with her sons during a car journey and at bedtime.

"I can not sit back and let my sons be accused in this way after what they've been through," the caption reads. "As much as it hurts us, we decided as a family to post these videos the boys took when they were 11 & 12. This isn't even the worst of it. The lies have to stop. I hope our kids grow up to be better than this."

Newsweek has contacted representatives for Spears and Federline for contact.
