The Chicago Bears trailed 21–3 on their home field at Soldier Field on Saturday night against the Green Bay Packers in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
However, as they’ve done all season, the Bears mounted a second-half rally, outscoring Green Bay 25–6 in the fourth quarter behind second-year quarterback Caleb Williams in his first postseason start to secure a 31–27 victory and advance to the divisional round.

Williams completed 24-of-48 passes for 361 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions, which he managed to overcome, while also rushing four times for 20 yards. He also became the third-youngest quarterback drafted No. 1 overall to win a playoff start in the common draft era.
The victory marked his second win of the season against the Packers, with both games seeing Chicago rally from a late deficit to secure the win.

As the No. 2 seed, Chicago will host another playoff game in the divisional round. If the Philadelphia Eagles defeat the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, the Bears will face Philadelphia. However, if the 49ers win, Chicago would take on the Los Angeles Rams, as the No. 1 seed Seattle Seahawks would face the highest remaining seed.
