Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 hosts its Blackout battle royale beta soon, so Activision has tweeted the full schedule of start and end dates across PS4, Xbox One and PC. While the PS4 date has been known for a while, this is the first time we've received concrete details about other platforms.

When does the 'Call of Duty: Black Ops 4' Blackout Beta Start & End?

Here's a summary of the full schedule:

  • PS4 Starts : Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. EDT Ends: Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. EDT
  • Xbox One Starts : Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. EDT Ends Sept. 17 at 1 p.m. EDT

In other words, those who pre-order Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on PS4 get an entire week to try Blackout Battle Royale for free. Xbox users get three days of trial, while all PC players benefit from two days of Blackout regardless of whether they pre-order the base game or not.

As announced earlier this month, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Blackout beta allows testers to experience last-man-standing gameplay on the largest map in Call of Duty history. Matches can be enjoyed in Solo, Duo and Quad variants, but all game types revolve around the same battle royale premise. Blackout is essentially a mashup of the entire Call of Duty: Black Ops universe. Classic weapons, characters, maps and vehicles collide in a single arena for the ultimate test of survival. We've seen very little of Blackout since the mode was announced in May, but Activision has spared no expense hyping it up for fans.

For those who don't have access to a Black Ops 4 pre-order, it's possible you might be able to receive a PS4 or Xbox One code by being an Xfinity customer. While the sign up page has been down since Black Ops 4's traditional multiplayer beta wrapped up in early August, we imagine more keys might be doled out soon.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 comes to PS4, Xbox One and PC Oct. 12.
