Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has a slightly complicated system for class setups and loadouts that may be intimidating for new players. With that confusion in mind, we've assembled this guide with eight of our favorite loadouts to suit all play styles. Whether you want a more balanced game with the M4A1 or want to run and gun with the P90, we've got you covered.
Kilo/AUG Class Setup

This loadout combines two of Modern Warfare's best early-game weapons to form a great pairing. Pelt opponents from medium range with the Kilo and shred from up close with the AUG. This one is great for an all-purpose approach that doesn't involve sniping.
- Perks: Overkill, Restock and Amped
- Equipment: Flash Grenade
Kilo Loadout
- Barrel: Singuard Arms 18.6
- Optic: G.I. Mini Reflex/Operator Reflex Sight
- Stock: TAC Ultralight: Aim walk movement speed
- Foregrip: Commando Foregrip
- Recon/50-round mag
AUG Loadout
- No suppressor
- Any Laser
- Barrel: 407 extended
- Stock: FTAC Ultralight Hollow
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- FMJ or Recon
Rush Class Setup

For those who want to purely run and gun, this is one P90 offering that may suit your taste. SMGs are one of the better weapon classes in Modern Warfare right now, and this loadout allows you to make use of one of the best ones in the game.
- Perks: Double Time, Ghost, Battle Hardened
- Claymore and Molotov
P90 Loadout
- Stock: QCB Comb
- Any Laser
- Underbarrel: Granulated Grip Tape
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
- Perk: FMJ/Heavy Hitter
M4A1 Class Setup
...
The M4 is nearly universally praised as one of the best early-game weapons in Modern Warfare. With this configuration, players are able to take advantage of the gun's high damage output and insane precision. The M4 will likely be nerfed in future updates, but this setup of components will take away the sting of those future changes.
- Perks: EOD, Restock, Shrapnel
- Claymore/Snapshot Grenade
M4A1 Loadout
- Barrel: 11.5 Commando or Stock Grenadier
- Stock: Singuard Arms Invader
- Foregrip: Commando Foregrip
- Rear Grip: Rubberized Grip Tape
- Perk: Sleight of Hand
M4A1/MP5 Class Setup
...
This one is somewhat similar to the Kilo/AUG build described above in that it combines two of Modern Warfare's best guns in a single loadout. Shred with the MP5 from up close, and attack with a little more distance using the M4. This is another all-purpose concept that will likely be helpful to new players who are still trying to figure out which gun to main.

- Stock: TAC Ultralight
- Laser
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
- Ammunition: 45-round mag
- Rear Grip: Rubberized Grip Tape
When configuring the M4A1, simply use the loadout setup described above.
FR 5.56 Recon Class Setup

If the FR 5.56 Recon is more your speed, this loadout should serve you well. You'll likely notice many of the same parts used in previous builds leveraged once again here.

- Optic: Operator Reflex Sight
- Stock: FR Ultralight Hollow
- Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip

M13 Class Setup

For the M13, the situation should feel familiar except for tacking on a slightly more tailored barrel. Beyond that, the usual suspects show up here. You essentially want a build that prioritizes accuracy and power above all else.
- Barrel: Light Integral Suppressor
- Optic: Gi Mini Reflex
- Stock: Lightweight Stock
- Rear Grip: Strappled
- Perk: Sleight of Hand
Alternate P90 Class Setup
...
If the prior P90 build doesn't feel quite right to you, maybe try this one. Just like the other, however, this setup is absolutely designed for run-and-gun play. It prioritizes quick action while also adding a unique healing element that may be helpful for keeping new players in the game longer.
- Perks: Double Time, Hardline, Amped

- Muzzle: Flash Guard
- Laser: 1mW
- Optic: Viper Reflex Sight
- Underbarrel: Granulated Grip Tape
- Perk: Frangible-Wounding
Aggressive Sniper Class Setup
...
If you like to snipe but don't have a ton of patience, this is the class setup for you. In both attachments and Perks, that this build is all about fast ADS speed and having the ability to heal in pressure situations. After all, if you're taking risky shots, you'll need a way to recover after being spotted.

- Frag Grenade/Stim
- 17 Factory Barrel
- Stock: Singuard Arms Assassin
- Ammunation: Seven-round Mags
- Rear Grip: Stippled Grip Tape
- Perk: Sleight of Hand
