A mischievous Cane Corso has delighted viewers on TikTok with his hilarious attempt to avoid getting caught breaking the rules at home.
The clever canine is captured standing frozen, waiting for the all clear, before attempting to climb onto a forbidden couch in a post to the platform by @maltimasi_ on January 30. The short clip has since gained more than 629,000 views and over 53,000 likes, drawing amused reactions from viewers captivated by the dog's antics.
The footage shows the black Cane Corso poised with his front paws on the couch, preparing to fully climb up. To the surprise of viewers online, the dog paused mid-motion when he heard his owner's voice.

With his eyes hooked on the upstairs, he carefully monitors his surroundings, waiting for confirmation that the coast is clear before continuing his forbidden adventure onto the couch for a nap.
"He wasn't allowed on the couch, so halfway through climbing up, he froze the moment he heard my husband's voice," the dog's owner said. "He was trying his best not to get caught!" has struck a chord with pet lovers who understand the art of canine mischief.
An overlaid text on the video further reveals the dog's strategy: "Waiting for my husband to go upstairs so he can sleep on the couch."
The TikTok post quickly sparked a flurry of comments from amused viewers, some of whom shared their own experiences with dogs bending the rules.
"Let the sweet dog on the couch, poor fellow," one viewer said.
Another added: "We adopted a really old [Labrador] that was not allowed on furniture in his past life. Every time we got home he would try to sneak off the sofa but was so old he took forever and we pretended we did not see him."
"I cannot imagine not allowing my pets to lay on the furniture with us," a third viewer said.
Another added: "My dog is not allowed on the floor she has to be on the couch or bed lol."
"We had a boxer Labrador mix that would watch me go up the stairs so she could steal food off the counters. I had to make her come up with me," another said.
Another added: "They are so smart!"
