'Captain Marvel' Trailer Releases Next Week? Brie Larson Scheduled for 'Good Morning America'

The last time Brie Larson teased a big Captain Marvel announcement was to promote Entertainment Weekly's cover story, which debuted her superhero suit. That big reveal was shortly followed by the first photos from the film, featuring a young Nick Fury, the Skrulls, the Kree Starforce team, Maria Rambeau, and Jude Law in a still-unnamed role.

This time around, Disney and ABC are at the helm of the internet chaos. A press release confirmed that Larson will appear on Good Morning America on September 18 to promote Captain Marvel. Sure, there's a chance it's just an interview with a plot tease or two. But there's also the chance this is everything fans have been waiting for since the end of Avengers: Infinity War. Is it finally time for a Captain Marvel trailer? We can only hope so.

Captain Marvel did not appear in Avengers: Infinity War, but her distinct logo was spotted on Nick Fury's pager right before he and Maria Hill were dusted away by Thanos. Her solo film will take place in the 1990s, about 30 years prior to the "snap." Along with Samuel L. Jackson as Fury, Clark Gregg will reprise his role as Agent Phil Coulson. The actor recently told EW that Captain Marvel will include the moment their characters meet for the first time.

Gregg also called back to the first Iron Man film where his character was first introduced. He mentioned a famous line: "This isn't my first rodeo, Mr. Stark," referring to Coulson's experience working with superpowered indivduals. After reciting the line, Gregg teased that meeting Captain Marvel might just be that "first rodeo."

Good Morning America airs weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. EDT. Do you think a trailer is coming? Sound off in the comments.
