Cara Delevingne Misses Her Own NYFW Event as Fans Worry About Her Behavior

Model and actor Cara Delevingne was reportedly a no-show at her own event at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) on Monday, adding to worries about her recent behavior.

Delevingne collaborated with the late German designer Karl Lagerfeld's brand to produce a capsule collection of genderless clothes and accessories that are easy to style. Having worked on the collection for the last few years, the model told Vogue that Lagerfeld "would be really proud of what we have created and how we have created it."

The line launched globally on September 8, and a capsule launch for the collaboration took place on Monday evening in the midst of NYFW, with a slew of celebrities and fashionistas in attendance. The only thing missing, according to several sources, was Delevingne herself.

Some guests at the event included Keke Palmer, actress Nina Dobrev, Becky G, Jamie Campbell Bower, and Candice Swanepoel, among others.

Delevingne's absence at the event was the latest incident to spark worry among her fans, as some have been pointing out behavior they've deemed odd over the last few months.

Most recently, sources have reported the Only Murders in the Building actor appearing shoeless and fidgety at an airport, and a video that has 1.8 million views at the time of publication shows Delevingne barefoot, appearing to talk on the phone as she spins around erratically outside the Van Nuys Airport in Los Angeles.

In July, fans noted she seemed to act strangely at the 2022 Billboard Music Awards, where she spent the night helping rapper Megan Thee Stallion on the red carpet. As a guest on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, she explained that she was just enjoying being the rapper's hype woman for the night.

"I was standing behind her and then she was trying to [do] the thing with fashion [where you] flick your [dress], and she couldn't really," she said, referring to Megan Thee Stallion's outfit, a black and beige Mugler miniskirt with a halter top and flowy scarf that hung from the side. "I was helping her and going like, 'Yeah, go!' Like hyping her up, being her hype woman."

The actress continued, "And then I was getting on the floor taking pictures. That's what I do, I don't know. I was just really excited. I'm like, 'Let me get my angle, guys! I'm a photographer.' It was so fun."

"I was living my best life, but people found it a little bit odd," she said. "People find me odd, but that's me. No shame."

Delevingne has previously embraced some people thinking she is strange, as her Twitter bio proudly reads, "EMBRACE YOUR WEIRDNESS!"
