Carole Baskin Is Still Cheering on Some 'Dancing With The Stars' Friends After Elimination

Carole Baskin may no longer be on the Dancing With The Stars stage herself, but she's still very much relevant. Baskin tuned into 80s night, the fifth episode of the competition dancing show's 29th season, on Monday night and sent messages of support to some of the celebrities still competing via Twitter.

Baskin appeared on Dancing With The Stars Season 29 with partner Pasha Kovalev for the first three episodes of the series. She rose to fame earlier in 2020 after appearing on Netflix documentary series Tiger King. Baskin is a self-proclaimed big cat advocate, so naturally, all of Baskin's Dancing With The Stars moments had to do with tigers, or animals in one way or another.

Her absence from the show was not forgotten by fans after Baskin's "Circle of Life" rendition sent her home Week 3, full lion costume and all. But thankfully, she's still cheering on her formers dancers from afar.

Baskin chose a few of the 12 remaining celebrity dancers to applaud on Monday night once they completed their 80s-inspired dance routines. First, Baskin shouted out Disney Channel star Skai Jackson who performed a jazz number to "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis & The News.

The dance channeled Back To The Future, from costumes to pre-dance adventuress in a DeLorean. Baskin felt the joy of the 80s night, which was apparent in so many of the routines. She pointed to Jackson for the reason for her smile on Monday.

I smiled all the way through Power of Love! Great job!!!

Jackson wasn't the only one who caught Baskin's eye. The Tiger King star shouted out NFL player Vernon Davis, too. He and partner Peta Murgatroyd were one of many couples who debuted a tango this week. Their song of choice was "Livin' On A Prayer" by Bon Jovi.

Baskin loved it, apparently. "Your Tango was smokin' hot! Congrats!" she responded to a tweet by Davis, which urged viewers of the show to vote for his safety.

Your Tango was smokin’ hot! Congrats!

This isn't the first time Baskin has chimed in. Last week, she gave a similar shoutout to Backstreet Boy AJ McLean and fellow Netflix star Chrishell Stause from Selling Sunset.

It's unclear if Baskin voted for any of the remaining celebrities she's praised, or if she's just sitting back and enjoying the show like so many viewers. Despite her endorsement for the "smokin' hot" Tango by Davis, he was in the bottom two on Monday night. His time on the show will continue, though, as judges chose to send Jesse Metcalfe home instead.

Aside from replying to the dancers she appreciates, Baskin hasn't commented on the Dancing With The Stars season in her absence. It's unclear if she'll appear on the show again as a visiting guest to commemorate her time on Season 29, even though it was cut short.
