Who is Ca'Shawn Sims? Police Search for Instagram Star Missing For a Month
Authorities are seeking the public's help to locate Ca'Shawn Ashley Sims, a popular Instagram influencer who has been missing for a month.
The 30-year-old, who is also known as Cookie, was last seen on September 8 in the 2100 block of Broach Avenue in Duarte, California, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD).
"Her family is concerned with her wellbeing and asking for the public's help," the sheriff's department said in an appeal posted on Facebook this week.

Her sister Ca'rynn Sims asked people to look out for her in a post on Instagram.
She wrote that her sister "abandoned her home, her dog and seemingly her phone which is unlike her. I never thought there'd come a day of me posting a missing flyer for my sister. We want her covered in prayers, God's grace and to know that she is whole, well and alive."
Another sister, Christol Sims, said on Instagram: "Although my sister is a very independent person and enjoys her solitude, family close and distant have not been able to get in touch with her for too long and it is concerning.
"As we've recently started living in separate places, I do not have day-to-day access to her. I'm trying to make sure she's okay, and will exhaust every option."
Sims' following on social media includes more than 215,000 followers on her main Instagram account, where she promotes fitness and nutrition products. Another Instagram account dedicated to fitness has more than 12,000 followers and she also appeared to be preparing to release a line of beauty products called Beauty by Cashawn.
The most recent post on her main Instagram page was on July 1. Friends and followers have taken to the comments on the post to share their hopes that Sims is well and found soon, while others tagged accounts with large followings in a bid to spread the word.
In a bulletin, the LASD described Sims as a Black female who is 5-feet-1-inch tall and weighing 120 pounds. She has brown eyes, black shoulder-length hair and several tattoos.
She has a tattoo of the words "It's found in the soul" on her collarbone, while another says "Earth" on her left forearm. She also has a tattoo written in Spanish on her back.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500. They can also submit an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers 800-222-TIPS (8477).
