Cat Locked Out of Bathroom Seeks Revenge in Hilarious Viral Video

Although often aloof, cats can be clingy characters. When it's least appropriate they will commit to following you around like a shadow.

However, when one cat's owner went into the bathroom without him the pet was so annoyed that he decided to exact a petty yet effective revenge.

In the video, shared to TikTok by a woman named Maddie, known on the app as M_clayclay, we can see that she is filming her bathroom rug.

From underneath the closed door a black and white furry leg protrudes and the cat's paw drags the rug under the door to his side.

Text overlaying the video reads: "Theo gets really upset if I don't bring him in the bathroom with me [laughing-face emoji]."

M_clayclay captioned the adorable video, which can be watched here, writing: "Just wait lmao #fyp #catsoftiktok #funnycat #tuxedo."

The hilarious clip has gained lots of traction online since it was posted on March 16, having been viewed 2.8 million times and liked by a whopping 362,500 people.

More than 2,300 comments have been left beneath the video, with many people sharing their delight at the funny clip.

One TikTok user, Rosie Duncan, wrote: "He's like 'fine, but I'm taking the damn rug hope your feet are cold' [shocked-face emoji]."

Another person, Sarah, joked: "You lost your rug privileges miss gurl."

Leah Plush added: "I can't come in... all perks will be removed," alongside a string of laughing-face emojis.

Another video that has recently gone viral is a short clip of a cat doing a singular hiccup.

In the video, shared to TikTok by 99kittymeow, a grey and white cat is sitting in a kitchen, staring at the camera.

Text overlaying the footage reads: "Wait for it..."

Next, the pet's ears move backwards before it lets out a tiny hiccup that causes its whole body to jolt.

The adorable video—which is captioned "Ever seen a cat hiccup?"— has gone viral since it was posted on July 3, having been viewed by a whopping 1.9 million people and surpassed 510,300 likes.

Newsweek have contacted Maddie for comment.
