A mother who unexpectedly went into labor while at home with her three young children was awed when CCTV showed how her eldest son comforted his brother when he was woken by the noise.

Jaymie, 29, lives in Lincoln, in the United Kingdom, and is now a proud mother of four, after giving birth to her youngest child just under a year ago—and his birth story is one that none of the family will forget any time soon.

On February 6, 2025, Jaymie unexpectedly went into labor while at home alone with her kids—now aged 8, 7 and 4—and gave birth to her son Taye, now 11 months, on the bathroom floor, at around 4 a.m.

"Theo, my eldest son, was the first person to see, when he was woken up by the noise and came out of his bedroom," Jaymie told Newsweek.

She added: "My dad and the ambulance got to me around the same time, which was very shortly after I'd already given birth."

But, in the meantime, the noise had woken her other young children "Theo had gone into the bedroom to calm his younger brother Tion, 4, down, and the camera caught this beautiful clip of him."

Jaymie added: "Theo is autistic, and dealt with everything going on that night so calmly, and I was so glad to have him with me that night."

In a video shared to Jaymie's TikTok account @jaymeeearianna on January 9, viewed more than a million times, she wrote: "Nearly a year since I gave birth to my 4th baby alone [in] the bathroom, and woke my three other kids up from the birth.

"Here's my eldest son trying to console his brother as I woke them up, and showing him his baby brother for the first time."

It showed Theo in the bedroom, where younger brother Tion had woken up and was scared, and Theo stepped straight into big brother duties as he comforted him.

"I think mummy's gonna go, but grandad is here. Do you want to see the baby?" Theo asks, as he takes his brother by the hand and walks him out of the room.

Even as the boys leave the room, Theo's voice can be heard excitedly telling Tion: "Look, it's your brother! Do you like him?"

Jaymie wrote in the caption that it was "the most traumatic event of my life," but, at the same time, she told Newsweek, she was awed by how "the camera caught this beautiful clip" of her eldest son.

"I posted this the other day as I cannot believe it’s been nearly a year since this event—time just goes so quickly," Jaymie added.

TikTok users had a major response to the video, awarding it over 72,000 likes, as one wrote: "Omg [oh my God] what a precious little boy keeping his lil brother calm, he must have been scared hearing you in pain. What a lil superstar, you must be so proud of him."

"He’s little enough to be scared himself but he’s being so brave for his brother," another wrote, as a third posted: "This clip just shows how kind your son is. You've done an amazing job."

Jaymie, who also has daughter Arianna, who was 6 at the time, said that she is "overwhelmed" by the response to her video, and has "showed Theo all the lovely comments about him."

"I am and always will be so proud of him that night," Jaymie said. "He is the best big brother to all his siblings and is such a lovely, kind boy."
